Summary

A.

What leadership experiences were especially successful for the student this senrester?

Leicha has been instrumental with her service on the Building Leadership Tcam including being a significant participant in the creation of our School Improvement Plan and Action Steps. On the topic of Instructional Leadership, she led our school in transition from a primary focus on reading comprehension to a writing focus on our Literacy goals. This includes the creation of the SWWRD (school-wide writing rubric database). Leicha developed the rubric with staffinput and led professional development for the use ofthe writing assessment tool at Pre-service, She has continued to coach implementation and development with staff throughout the semester. Leicha planned for [,earning Days with the principal reviewing multiple data pieces and sources of information to effectively plan and co-author professional development activities. L,eicha also has participated in leadership for Social-Emotional-Behavior learning including training and participation on the school PBIS team.

What has been the main focus or topic of reflections and conversations with the student this semester?

We've engaged in conversations about a variety ofeducation topics including organizational structure, community relations and partnerships, positive school climate, and instructional leadership. Leicha and I have recerttlyengaged in some in-depth conversations about 'rigor and relevance' particularly in context of implementing the lowa Core and how it is parallel to Smarter Balanced assessment and Revised Bloom's Taxonomy.
