If you have appeared for nationally recognized tests like CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA, it is not necessary to appear at MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2014. Your score of All India CET will be valid for the admission provided the score is more than the cut-off.
The admission process for MBA programs offered by Mumbai, Pune and other Universities of Maharashtra, and their affiliated B-schools has undergone a major change this year. Unlike last year, where CMAT scores were used for admissions, this year, Directorate of Technical Education(DTE) Maharashtra, the body that regulates technical education decided to conduct its own Online Maharashtra Common Entrance test (MAH MBA/MMS CET 2014). MAH CET will be conducted on March 15 & March 16, 2014. The registration process started on January 27, 2014 is open till February 14. MH CET results will be used by 400 MBA institutions in Mumbai, Pune and rest of Maharashtra for admissions. More than 100,000 students are expected to take the exam. MAH CET 2014: Exam Pattern MAHMBA/MMS CET 2014 shall be conducted online at the selected examination centers. There will be 200 multiple choice objective type questions (MCQs). MH-CET will be of 150 minutes duration test. Maximum marks awarded will be 200 meaning 1 mark per correct answer. There will be multiple sessions from 15th March 2014 to 16th March 2014 in the test. No penalty of negative marking for any wrong answer will be imposed. Candidates will not have any fear of losing marks on this count.
