Characters: Erik (a.k.a The Phantom): A physically-deformed and mentally-disturbed charismatic genius who was one of the architects who took part in the construction of the opera. Richard and Moncharmin: The new managers of the opera house. They believe "The Phantom" it's just a rumour and don't listen to his demands, which causes a great conflict with Erik. Madame Giry: The caretaker for Box Five, which is reserved by Erik. She knows Erik and is in good terms with him. She is fired when she tries to tell Richard and Moncharmin about "The Phantom". Carlotta: A spoiled prima donna, the lead soprano of the Paris opera house and Christine's rival. She is threatened by Erik that if she performs at the Opera House instead of Christine "a great misfortune will strike". She shrugs the warning off and performs anyway. When she does however croaking noises come out of her mouth and the chandelier comes crashing down. Ashamed, she hides from the public view for a few weeks, before making a return to the opera house. Theme:

Appearance and Reality , Innocence, Horror.

Climax:

The climax is when Erik kidnaps Christine after her performance and M le vicomte and the Persian/Daroga are going down to his house and get stuck in the torture chamber. Then, Christine has to pick the scorpion or the grasshopper to see if she would blow up the opera house or stay with him and ruin her life. Conflict:

The conflict is that between Raoul and the phanthom, as they vie for Christines love. And Christine had to choose between Raoul and the Phanthom.

Denouement: Hes so overcome with emotion that Christine kisses him back. That does it. He sets Christine free and tells her to leave him and marry Raoul.

Phanthom of The Opera

1. Who is the man of the wheelchair? I think the man of the wheelchair is non-other than Raoul. Because when he go to the grave of Christine he saw a rose with the ring. And that is the promise of the phanthom to Christine that she would come back after Erik dies to bury him. 2. Who is the old woman?
As I have watched the movie The old woman is non-other than Madame Giry.

Because she was called by the bidder. 3. Criticize the comparison of time? The comparison of time in the movie was, it was very changeable and it was very fast time comparison. 4. What was the relationship of Raoul and Christine? In the story they are childhood friends, and fall inlove with each other. 5. Did anyone know the existence of the phanthom of the opera? Explain. As I have watched the movie, I think at first there is no one knows the existence of the Phanthom of the opera, because if they know it in the first they will be aware of him. 6. Who seems to own the opera house? How did you say so? Any evidence of your answer. I think the owner of that opera house is non-other that Erik the phanthom because he lives there. And he is the one 7. What can you say about the opera house esp. in this caricature and lay-out? The opera house was so nice, it is the best opera house because it seems that there is all the things that you need in the opera, and was so big. 8. What is the relationship of the phanthom to Christine before and after? The relationship af the phanthom to Christine before and after as I read the other reference on the computer, I think Christine is the student of phanthom, and phanthom is the tutor of Christine. 9. What do you think had happened to the opera house seeng it in the opening of the movie? As I have watched the movie the opening of it, is that the opera house was having a biddeng event. And after that biddeng they reveal the amazing and very big chandelier. 10. If you were one of the judges what rate would you gave to the movie? Why?

If I were given a chance to one of the judges of the movie, I will rate it higher because it symbolize the acceptance of human being for who they really are, and for whatever their badside or good side are. I will rate it one out of ten is 10, because it was a very beautifull movie and it was very amazing, I can say that the author is so great of what he wrote. 11. What are the object of the renaissance of the story? The object of the renaissance of the story is the mask. Because it sumbolizes the other personality of the phanthom. 12. Describe the phanthom, personality and capability. A physically-deformed and mentally-disturbed charismatic genius, and he sings very well. He was one of the architects who took part in the construction of the opera. He is greatly gifted, but his talents are in making voices seem to appear where no one is actually talking 13. Explain the obsession of the phanthom to Christine Daee. The obsession of the phanthom to Christine was so very strong, that he can do anything just to have Christine in his side even if he kill anyone who will contradict him. 14. Can you say that Christine was controlled by the problem? Yes/No. I think its a No because she has her own decision to be a chorus girl, and it was just the phanthom was madly inlove with her. 15. Why the phanthom freed Raoul and Christine? Because Christine begs him to let them survive. She promises not to kill herself if he lets them leave safely, so he lets them go. 16. Does the society has any contribution of being of the phanthom? I think yes, there is, because He felt he was not a member of the human race. Also, much of his genius was not used to benefit society because he had never been accepted into society. 17. If you are to solve of the problem how will you do it? If I were to solve the problem of the story I will do it with the help of God. And I will open my eyes in the reality of life. I will tell to the people that we should not reject those people who has a defect, we should respect them, because like us, they are human being too. 18. Give your own ending for the story. If I were the author I will end the story, that the phanthom will not die and he will be fall inloove to the another woman and he will be happy and accept the relationship of Christine and Raoul. So that they both have a happy ending though their start is not that good.
