Our team approach provides you with a built-in support system that will help you throughout your studies and as you embark on your career. Our united counseling program provides services and functions designed to enhance the student experience and promote success.

WHAt is tHE PURPOsE OF tHE StUDENt SUCCEss TEAM (SST)?

The Student Success Team was established to provide a positive, problem-solving process for identifying education options and providing career strategies, nancial advice and personal counseling resulting in a healthy social and academic learning environment.

OUR MissiON

The mission of your Success Team is to assist you in dening and carrying out an action plan to improve your academics, health, discipline, and career options.

The Student Success Team is composed of counselors from the Academic Advisement, Student Affairs, and Artist and Career Services ofces. Your team works within the school community to develop a solution-oriented approach that will enhance your academic experience and post-graduate success.

The Student Affairs office is the heart of the MI student community, offering a multitude of services including counseling, budgeting, student discount tickets for local attractions, metro tickets and information about upcoming student events. Student Affairs Counselors act as resource managers to assist students with academic, financial or emotional issues, including access to on-site professional psychological counseling.

If you have taken out a student loan while attending MI, our Loan Repayment Counselor will provide personalized student loan guidance while you attend school as well as a customized analysis of your best loan repayment options after graduation. You are welcome to visit the Student Affairs Ofce at any time MondayFriday 8:30am-5:00pm to meet your counselor in person and explore the resources available to you.

The mission of the Artist and Career Services (ACS) Department is to provide guidance, support and resources to students and alumni as they develop their careers. Among a variety of services, ACS helps develop and carry out job search strategies, creates opportunities for industry exposure, and assists in developing promotional materials. The Financial Aid Ofce is open daily from 8:30am-5:00pm MondayFriday. The Application Coordinator is available to provide assistance with the electronic application process. Each student will be assigned a personal Financial Aid advisor who will answer questions related to their applications for student aid.
