Andrew McCauley: Hello everybody. Welcome back to podcast #13, lucky 13 for some. I am looking forward to t is podcast. !

is is going to be a fun one and of course to s are wit me is Heat er "orter. Hey, Heat er# Heather: Hey $ndrew# Hello everybody. It is good to be back and yes t is is indeed a lucky episode because today we are going to talk about a continuity program w ic in layman%s term is ow do you make money over time for settings somet ing up once. Andrew: &ea , I love setting t ings up once and making money regularly. It is t e Holy 'rail of being online and if you can do it, t at%s great. I know a lot of offline businesses run t is sort of program. ! ings like gyms run a continuity program. &ou know you pay a mont ly fee to (oin a gym, t en you may or may not use it but at t e end of t e day, t e gym doesn%t care w et er you do or not because t ey are getting t eir money coming t roug . )o, gyms are good e*ample of an offline business t at does it. W at ot er offline businesses use continuity programs+ Heather: Well, I mean people do not really t ink of it like t is but one of t e most popular ones t at we all ave to use is t e cell p one or mobile p one provider basically because if you t ink about it, you are paying t em a flat fee every single mont . ,f course, if you go over, you pay more but t at%s a great e*ample of one. Andrew: &ea , I don%t remember t e last time I paid t e e*act same amount of money on my mobile p one ever. )o, ow do we make t ese appen online+ -ow, t is is as you said t e Holy 'rail. If you ave got an online business or even if you ave an offline business and you want to start making some money ./ ours a day 0 days a week, aving t e opportunity to ave your cas register open, t en t at is w at we are talking about today, rig t+ Heather: &ea and I t ink t e key t ing to t ink about is t at yes t ere%s so muc free content online and we recommend t at you do free content all t e time to get your message and your voice out t ere and you know track new leads but t e difference of a members ip site is t at it%s packaged premium content. )o, it%s truly t ere put toget er all in one place to give a result. )o, let%s talk t roug a couple of members ip models and w at t ey are and give some e*amples so people can really understand t em because w at we want to do is e*cite you guys on w at t ese are and to see t e potential on your business, so t en w en we actually get some of t e platforms in a little bit, you are writing notes and you are going 1&up, I am going to use t at one and I am to go out t ere and make one rig t now.2 Andrew: &ea , t ey are not ard eit er.

Heather: -o, t ey are not. Andrew: )o let%s (ump on in.

Heather: ,kay. )o, one very popular one t at e*ists is (ust t e standard e3 learning, like universities and t ere is lynda.com. W at%s t at ot er one+

Andrew:

6demy7 it%s an academy but 6demy.

Heather: &es, yes e*actly. )o, t ese sites are basically w ere you go and you can punc in w at you want to learn. I know 4ynda is more software based but 6demy is a w ole bunc of different information but you can type w at you want to learn and t en you ave suddenly access to all t ese incredible videos at your fingertips. -ow, t ese sites generally will c arge you w et er a flat fee or mont ly fee or you can buy courses for flat fees as well and t en add more on from t ere. ! ey are all different price models but t e idea is t e same and t e fact t at t ey are online, essentially sc ools, a place w ere you can go and learn information about somet ing. )o, t at%s one. 4et%s see. We also ave like really a great model t at%s starting to appen and it is for coac es because life coac ing as gotten so popular and business coac ing as well w ere a coac is trying to grow t eir business and trade, not trade you know t eir ours for money as muc anymore and t ey want to get bigger t an (ust t eir individual clients. )o, a great way to do t at is to actually package t eir information, t eir signature program t at t ey run t roug t eir clients wit into members ip site so t en suddenly overnig t t ey can be coac ing t ousands of people all over t e world using t e same platform and t e same concepts t at t ey are using in t eir individual sessions plus t ey can give it to t eir client as a bonus or for free and t at client can always ave a piece of t em, so to speak, online in t eir private members ip site. Andrew: &ea . We ave seen t at done a number of times and it as been really effective t at, as you said, it (ust enables people to get out t ere and not (ust teac w at t ey know to one person but teac it to many people all at t e same time. &ou do not ave to p ysically be present w en you are teac ing t ose people. )o, if you ave got information in your ead and you are teac ing one person at a time rig t now, t en start t inking about ow can you leverage t at and make it go out to more people t an (ust one. Heather: )o, we will mention a few ot er ideas as well. $ couple t at are really big are c allenge websites. )o, you come in and to get access to t is incredible information wit t e outcome of ac ieving somet ing. )o, one t at as gotten 8uite big ere at least in $ustralia is Challenge by Michelle Bridges w ic is one of t e $ustralian 9iggest 4oser%s coac es and s e as put toget er weig t loss c allenge. I t ink it%s four times a year and you log in and you ave like a full3on c allenge for a few mont s and after t at you are on a maintenance program. )o, you ave an initial upfront payment for t at period and t en after t at it is a low mont ly amount but c allenges are great because again you are building sort of a tribe, a community, and everyone is in t ere, active, all wit one outcome and t at%s to get a massive result in t at s ort amount of time t at t ey are toget er. )o, you can build up 8uite a great community in a c allenge as well. Andrew: &ea , I love it.

Heather: ! ere is a website actually I love and I always s are t is wit clients w en I am talking to t em about t e power of a members ip site. I still t ink t at t e biggest members ip site t at e*ists in t e world is t e )out 9eac :iet w ic was an incredibly popular book and w at t is aut or as done is basically turned t eir book into a members ip site. ! ey ave millions of members in t ere and
4isten ere: ttp:55autopilotyourbusiness.com5podcasts5133 ow3to3create3a3members ip3site5 'et a copy of our ,nline )urvival 'uide ere: ttp:55aybguide.com www.autopilotyourbusiness .com

initially t ey were paying ; dollars a mont . I know I t ink it as gone up to ;< dollars a 8uarter but it%s incredible. It%s basically t e book t at as come alive on t e internet, millions of members. W at a model# Andrew: Wow# ! at%s cool.

Heather: $nd w at is a members ip site essentially+ It%s a private website. &ou get a user name and a password and you log in and you ave access to content. Andrew: ! at%s a good point. -ow, let%s (ust define ow ard are t ey to set up and w at makes it different t an (ust a normal members ip site. Heather: &ea . 4ook, t ese sites are very, very easy nowadays because of t e incredible ease of t ings like Word"ress and t ere are even ot er platforms t at you can buy and login and t ey are already built for you and t ey look really ama=ing and you (ust customi=e a little bit and upload your content and t ey are almost ready to go. )o, I guess before we (ust (ump in to t e platform, let%s talk briefly about t e types of members ip model t ere are. ! ere are two main ones and I want to talk about t is because t en as we are going to t e platforms t en all of you guys will understand a little bit more about ow, I guess, t ese two ways of delivering information fit. )o, t e first one, t e most popular one is evergreen. &ou may ave eard t at word being t rown around 8uite a bit. $n evergreen members ip site is basically w ere you as t e creator of t e website put a w ole bunc of ama=ing content in t ere and it%s all t ere in one go, somebody signs up, t ey get access to t at private site and t en t ey ave access to all your information at once and t en if you want to add new stuff, you can over time but it%s always t ere and it%s released to t e person. If >o n )mit comes along and t en e signs up in ?ay and t ey you ave ?ary )mit t at signs up in :ecember, bot people get access to t e same e*act information. Andrew: @ig t, okay.

Heather: $nd t en t ere is anot er one. $ndrew, tell us about t at. W at%s t e ot er one t at%s popular. Andrew: ! e ot er one t at we ave got as opposed to evergreen is drip fed and drip fed is a members ip site w ere you mig t sign up for a particular members ip and let%s say you sign up in ?ay, t e person w o owns t e members ip and t e content will drip feed it to you over a period of time so t at you do not get overw elmed, you do not get slammed wit all t e information at once. ! ese websites are really good for educational style websites w ere you need to teac somebody certain aspects or certain t ings and you don%t want t em to go a ead too fast or too 8uickly because t ey may not understand it fully. )o, you can actually drip feed t e content, you may let out ?odule 1 w en t ey sign up and t en ?odule . a week later, ?odule 3 a week later after t at and so on and so on. )o, t at%s a drip feed members ip. -ow, can you ave, I will ask Heat er, evergreen and drip fed at t e same time. Heather: ! at%s a great point actually. &es, somet ing like a c allenge site, you can make all of your information available at once for specific amount of time and t en after may be t ree mont s or w atever, t en boom, you (ust go on a drip fed model w ere may be you (ust ave a little bit of information, drip fed every mont
4isten ere: ttp:55autopilotyourbusiness.com5podcasts5133 ow3to3create3a3members ip3site5 'et a copy of our ,nline )urvival 'uide ere: ttp:55aybguide.com www.autopilotyourbusiness .com

over time. )o, you can mi* t em up a little bit as well. &ou can also give different people different access levels to your members ip site. Here is a great e*ample. We are actually building a training program for sales team and wit t em t ey are ongoing sales team, t ey need to ave access to everyt ing t at is in t at members ip site. )o, t ey ave t e evergreen model. However, t e new sales team t at is coming on board, t ey want structure and control around ow t ey learn t e w ole system. )o, t ey come in and t ey go t roug in actual drip fed model w ere t ey literally watc everyt ing modularly. )o, t ey ave like a video today, a video tomorrow and t at continues on for .1 days and t en after t at point t ey are given access to t e Avergreen area of t e site w ere t ey ave everyt ing but all at once. )o, it%s a great way for corporates, a great way for training teams, new teams, automating your training process7 we are loving t e automation stuff. )o, t at%s a really andy tool. Andrew: We do, we do.

Heather: $not er key point too is wit members ip sites t ere is always t is 8uestion of ow do you get t e people engaged and active in you members ip site. )ome members ip sites like forums and some members ip sites do not. It%s (ust literally content and information and t at%s a tricky one because if you start out at a members ip site and you are t inking 1I want a forum, w at activity going on in t ere.2 If you ave t e forum open and t e comments open but you don%t ave any comments going on, t en you risk looking like not a very popular, I guess, website. Andrew: &ea , like an empty movie t eatre or empty nig tclub wit no one in it.

Heather: )ocial proofs are so popular. &ou can go and you t ink 1, , must not be good2, rig t+ 1)o, I want my money back.2 4ook, Bacebook is a great tool. I know one of anot er site t at we built for somebody, t ey ave a private Bacebook group and t ey actually ave a big icon rig t in t eir members ip site area t at says 1Have 8uestions+ Want to connect+ >oin us on Bacebook.2 and it links t em to t eir private group and t en t at%s ow t ey manage it because everyone is on Bacebook anyway and t ey ave ad no problems aving activity in t eir private Bacebook group w ic corresponds to t e members ip site. )o, it%s a great little tool. Andrew: Heather: @ig t, rig t, cool. ) all we move on+ "latform timeC

Andrew: We s ould, we s ould. ,kay, so platforms can be a little confusing. ! ere are so many different platforms out t ere. W at are t e best ones t at we are talking about+ Heather: Well, let%s start at t e beginning. 4et%s start wit t e easiest t at at least I know we are aware of and very popular one. It%s called Da(abi and as always, guys, we will put t e 6@4s of everyt ing t at we talk about in t is episode on our website www.$utopilot&our9usiness.com5"odcast. )o, Da(abi E basically w at it is, is you pay t em a mont ly fee E get t at E members ip model for members ip site. How is t at# &ou pay t em a mont ly fee and t en you get access to t e platform.
4isten ere: ttp:55autopilotyourbusiness.com5podcasts5133 ow3to3create3a3members ip3site5 'et a copy of our ,nline )urvival 'uide ere: ttp:55aybguide.com www.autopilotyourbusiness .com

Andrew: Heather: Andrew: up, rig t+

:ouble killing, I love it# :ouble killing. It%s great. If you ave got a number of members ip sites for Da(abi, you can add

Heather: $bsolutely. I t ink for t e initial 1<< dollars a mont or FF dollars a mont , you get t ree sites. ! at mig t ave c anged, so you want to definitely c eck t eir site out for t e most up3to3date information but you could ave up to t ree sites and from t ere, yes, it does add up. How it works is t ey ost it, t ey actually ost your site for you. &ou can make t e 6@4 a little bit special. )o, you mig t ave www.yoursite.Da(abi.com or somet ing like t at but ultimately t ey kind of ave owners ip of your platform really because t ey do own it and you are paying t em t e money. &ou go in and you customi=e it. $gain, it%s made to be very easy. It is, by far. If you (ust want to get started, absolutely look at t is as a potential tool. )o, you can go and you can c ange colors, you can upload your logo and it is literally as easy as saying 1I am going to upload a video, I am going to upload an audio, I am going to stick some word documents on ere, I am going to do a ":B for download.2 I ope I am not making it sound too comple* because it%s actually really, really easy. &ou (ust kind of say 1&ea , I want t is page and t en I want t is t ing to go on t at page2 and t en it (ust takes care of everyt ing for you. It%s 8uite easy. &es, t at%s Da(abi. $gain, one t ing t at $ndrew and I always talk about is wit a platform do your best always ave full owners ip of it because god forbid if somet ing appens to t e company t at as your information on it, t ey go under or somet ing appens, t en you lose everyt ing. Andrew: I am not a big fan of Da(abi for t at reason because t ey ouse pretty muc everyt ing, rig t+ ! ey ost it all. It%s all on t eir site. If t ey went bankrupt or t ey close down for w atever reason t en you lose all you information, rig t+ Heather: safest. $bsolutely, yes. )o, it is not t e safest. It%s easy but it%s not t e

Andrew: )o, one of our favorite ones is also Wis list ?ember. -ow, you aven%t used a lot of Wis list member yourself, ave you+ Heather: Well, I ave set up t ree websites wit it actually and it can get really comple* really fast but I t ink t e t ing I always say to people is you don%t ave to get comple* wit Wis list. It%s t ere for growt and scalability and w at I mean by t at is you can ave unlimited members ip levels. )o, let%s (ust take a little baby step back. 4et%s say you ave an e*ercise program and it%s 1. mont s of e*ercises and you want a program t at%s for mot ers, you want a program t at%s for pregnant woman, you want a program t at%s for e*ecutives on and on and on and on but you ave slig t customi=ations in t at program. &ou can do t at in Wis list. &ou literally can ave all t ese programs running simultaneously w ere all t ese different people get access to different pieces of your content. )o, I am only mentioning t at to you guys because if you start wit Wis list, you can grow it7 it%s completely unlimited, t e potential, of w ere you can take it.

Andrew: &ea . It was developed by internet marketers w o knew w at members ip sites s ould really be all about. &ou can ave a w ole range of different s opping cart integrations, you can ave integration wit your Word"ress website w ic we recommend. ! ere are so many features, it%s cra=y and it is only F0 dollars. Heather: ,ne off.

Andrew: F0 dollars once off. ! at%s not a mont 7 t at%s (ust one3off fee t at you pay for Wis list member to ave access to t eir members ip portal. $nd it%s osted on your site, so you control everyt ing you do and t ey also ave an awesome range of training videos as well. )o, if you ever get stuck, apart from t e great support t at t ey ave, t ey also ave a w ole range of training videos, so you can (ust watc t ose as you go. Heather: )o, I guess a good point on Wis list is w ereas Da(abi is a self3 contained tool w ere t ey do t e osting, t ey store your content and everyt ing is done for you wit Da(abi, Wis list is actually w at%s known as a plug3in and w at you must ave in order to make Wis list work is you ave to ave your own domain w ic is yoursite.com, you ave to ave your own osting w ic you know you can get t roug 'o :addy or t ere are so many of t em all over t e world, 'o :addy is a popular one and t en you ave to install Word"ress and we ave talked about Word"ress in many of our episodes before7 it%s a free website software platform t at literally is a one3click installation on a great osting company and t ey can do t at for you as well. )o, you can install your Word"ress and t en you install Wis list and w at it does is it basically allows you to lock down certain pages on your website. )o, you can actually (ust say 1I want t is page idden to member, you to log in2 or 1I (ust want t is page wide open for t e public.2 )o, it allows you to ave a lot of control around different pages on your website. )o, t at%s t e Wis list is7 it%s more of a plug3in t at you add on to make your site into a members ip site. Andrew: Heather: &es, definitely. It%s really cool.

Andrew: ,ne of t e trainers at t e 6ltimate ?embers ip )ite )eminar, it%s a seminar we run once a year in 4os $ngeles and we use Wis list for all of t ose people t at go, so t ere are 3<< to /<< people to go to t at event every single year and t at%s t e plug3in t at we use as Wis list member. Heather: &ea , it%s incredible. )o, a good place to start wit Wis list if you are (ust t inking about getting started is go and get it and install it into your current Word"ress website and t en you can basically create a few webpages t ere on your current site t at are private t at people can log in and get access to and since it%s (ust a Word"ress webpage, it can look like anyt ing you want. I mean, you know you embed videos on it, you can put write3in, you can put audio files7 w atever you do wit your normal website, you do wit t at. ! e only difference is t at t ere is a little c eckbo* up in t e top rig t and you say 1I want t is page only available to t is members ip level2 and t en you assign all t e members ip levels in t e background but t at%s an easy place to start. I know, $ndrew, you mentioned it integrates wit t ings. )o, w at does t at mean+ it basically means
4isten ere: ttp:55autopilotyourbusiness.com5podcasts5133 ow3to3create3a3members ip3site5 'et a copy of our ,nline )urvival 'uide ere: ttp:55aybguide.com www.autopilotyourbusiness .com

t at say you ave "ay"al, w at it does is t at you set up a sales page w ere you are selling your members ip program, people click on t e "ay"al button, Wis list allows you to do some fancy stuff be ind t e scenes wit your "ay"al account w ere if somebody clicks on "ay"al, t ey get taken into "ay"al, t ey pay and t en t ey are redirected to a page in Wis list on your website to assign t emselves a username and a password and w at t at means is t at at t at moment t ey now ave access to your members ip content and t at%s all automated. $lso, if you ave an email program, for e*ample, ?ailG imp or $weber or iGontact or any of t ose and you want everybody%s names w o signs up to automatically s ow up on an email list t at you ave created, you can do t at too. )o, w at appens w en t at person comes back into t e site you assign t emselves t eir login details+ ! eir information automatically gets sucked into a list on your email program. )o, it%s fully automated, like cra=y automated if you want it to be. Andrew: &es, t at%s Wis list member. Wis list forever. Heather: I t ink we could keep talking about

Gan you guys tell we like it+ We love it. It is great.

Andrew: We love it, we love it. It%s always upgrading, it%s always doing new stuff and integrating wit new software t at%s out t ere w ic we will talk about in a few minutes. &ea , t at%s Wis list. Heather: $nd if you guys want really beautiful easy template as well, we love somet ing called ,ptimi=e"ress. ,ptimi=e"ress as been built to work wit Wis list. It%s actually been built to not only ave really incredible looking sales pages but also it as a full members ip template and all you do is basically download Word"ress , you get ,ptimi=e"ress w ic is a t eme and t en you install your Wis list plug3in and toget er as a t reesome t ey look really ama=ing and t en you ave a members ip site, lock3down pages and all part of t at. Andrew: 4aunc formula, product launc anot er story altoget er. Heather: t at one. Andrew: formula sort of stuff as well. )o, t at%s

&ea , we will go into t at later. In anot er few episodes, I t ink for $lrig t, w at ot er platforms do we ave+

Heather: Well, t ere are basically plug3ins t at ot er bigger companies ave developed. ! ere is a lot of t ese but I am only going to cover (ust a couple of more. $ lot of you guys ave eard of Infusionsoft or even ,ffice $utopilot. -ow, eac one of t ose companies ave developed t eir own plug3in and wit Infusionsoft I believe it%s called Gustomer Hub and w at it does is it allows you to lock down certain areas of your website and wit ,ffice $utopilot it is called "ilot"ress and "ilot"ress does t e same t ing7 essentially you install it and it allows you to lock down certain pages as well. )o, w at%s different about t ose is t at because Infusionsoft and ,ffice $utopilot are databases tec nically, t ey ave a lot more going on be ind t e scenes, t ey ave email programs, t ey ave s opping carts and all sorts of t ings built into t em. W en you use t eir customer or t eir members ip area, I s ould say, it (ust automatically works wit all t e data t at you already ave in your system. )o, if you are a bigger company or you are

looking to grow 8uite 8uickly, you mig t want to consider one of t ose because it all integrates toget er to one big massive mac ine. :id I go too tec ie on t at+ :id I+ >ust a bit tec ie cra=y. Bor t ose of you w o are (ust getting started, absolutely look into Wis list. Bor t ose of you t at are more advanced and ave a bigger platform already, t en definitely consider trying out t e Infusionsoft Gustomer Hub or t e "ilot"ress from ,ffice $utopilot. )o, t ose are t e main platforms. $gain, t ere are undreds more but t ose are t e big guys t at play out in t e market. Andrew: &es, big time. )o, you spoke about ,ptimi=e"ress. 4et%s (ust talk about t at for a 8uick second. ,ptimi=e"ress is not a members ip site, is it+ Heather: -o, it%s a very good distinction actually. It%s a t eme. )o, basically w en I say t eme, it%s built wit a lot of different t emes inside of it. )o, you basically, if you are writing a page in your Word"ress site, you can assign it to eit er look like a members ip page or you can assign it to look like a sales page. )o, it as somet ing like .<H different page appearances, w ereas a normal t eme only as one look and feel to your entire website w ere all your pages (ust pop up and look t e same. ,ptimi=e"ress allows you to c oose a w ole bunc of different variations. Andrew: ,kay. )o, you can combine t at wit make it look really cool. your members ip platform to

Heather: A*actly. )o your members ip area of your site can look really cool, like you said. &ou do not even ever ave to use ,ptimi=e"ress as a members ip site. $ lot of people use it as (ust sales pages but you can use it as a members ip site if you bring in an outside t ing like Wis list. Andrew: @ig t, okay, okay.

Heather: 'ood 8uestion. I feel like t is episode is going a little bit down more of a tec nical pat but I t ink ultimately, guys, if you (ust t ink in terms of ow do you leverage your time and ow do you package t at, a great starting point is w at you constantly asked over and over and over and over again t at people are appily paying you money for7 t at is a great starting point on creating content and sticking it into members ip site because t at%s your signature content, t at%s w at people come to you for. )o, t erefore, you can package t at and put t at in a members ip platform and opefully c arge money for it. $ctually, let%s talk about fees, yea , because I know t ere is lot of people C Andrew: &ea , let%s talk about t at. ! at%s a good point. W at are people c arging for members ip t ese days and ow do you evaluate w at you s ould be c arging people+ Heather: It%s a great point. )tarting point is t is. &ou can always increase your price as you cannot easily reverse your prices. )o, w en in doubt, always start on t e lower end.

Andrew: W y is t at+ important piece to know.

4et%s give it a rundown on w y we t ink t at%s an

Heather: 'ood 8uestion. )o, let%s (ust say t at you sold a undred people into your members ip site at /0 dollars a mont and t en suddenly you are not able to get anymore and you are t inking 1'os # ?aybe it%s a little bit too e*pensive. I am going to drop t e price to 10 dollars a mont 2 and t en suddenly you are starting to get more people signing up t at way. -ow, imagine w at t ose undred people will feel like if t ey suddenly t ink 1Well, I was t e first person in your site, you know, and suddenly I found out t at undred more people ave been sold t e same t ing t at I boug t at /0 dollars for 10 dollars.2 It will start a backlas and people will not be very appy. Andrew: A*actly.

Heather: ! at is t e biggest reason w y. $lso, if you flip it around and you start low and t en you grow up, t e great t ing about t at is t at you can actually start to do really great sales. )o, if you say you are starting at 10 dollars a mont mark and t en you t ink 1I am going to up my prices now to ./ dollars a mont or /0 a mont 2, you can do a big uge sale and say 1,kay, our Bounder%s )pecial is ending in 3< days2 and be actually telling t e trut t at you are going to up your prices in 3< days and t en you will never go back. )o, t at%s t e reason w y you do like t at. Andrew: W at about free members ip sites t at turn into a paid members ip site+ W at about t at sort of model+ Heather: 'reat point as well. Wit t ose sites, you want to t ink about teaser content. )o, you want to offer a bunc of content t at gets people engaged and e*cited rig t in t at very moment t at you are really going to go into t e (uicy bit, like really dive into w at t ey want to know. ! at%s w en you can say 1I ope you ave en(oyed t is. Bor t e actual points, t e ne*t t ree points, t at%s in my private members ip area. It%s only 10 dollars a mont .2 )o, it%s a sales tool essentially. &ou are still giving great content but (ust not at t e level t at it%s still free. Andrew: )ure, sure. W at about trial periods+

Heather: !rial periods as well. I know a lot of people use t ose and t ey were probably more popular in t e past as well w ere your c arge a dollar for say a couple of weeks free to get into t e members ip site. -ow, one issue wit t at is t at a lot of banks were picking up on t at if you were using credit cards, t ey were saying t at t at%s fraud and t ey would automatically block t e credit card of t e user and t en get t em 8uite angry. I know t at from personal e*perience. )o, t e w ole 13dollar trial, people are now (ust because of w at%s going wit t e banks, t ey are offering t at for a little bit ig er, more like /.FF for a trial period and t en it will go up from t ere. )o, yea , t at%s still doable, a lot of t ese tools. Aven "ay"al allows you to do t at. "ay"al allows you to set a trial period, a lot of s opping carts do t at7 I t ink all s opping carts do t at now. )o, yes, great 8uestion, $ndrew. ?ore specifically about pricing, actually t ere is a couple of sweet spots. ! is as been (ust from my researc but not only mine. Brom w at I know, $ndrew, you

know t is and I know t at a lot of t e mentors and people t at we know in t e industry use as well. $ great price is 10.F0 a mont and t at%s because t e uman mind some ow sees a 0 as less t an a F. )o, if you are 10.F0 a mont , it%s closer to 1; a mont rat er t an .< a mont . )o, t at%s a great starting point. $ great sweet spot rig t now t at%s being used for members ip sites, again, it%s .F dollars7 it could be .0 but it is .F.F; a mont as well. )o, t e two I keep earing about are sort of around t e 103dollar3a3mont mark and t en also around t e .F3dollar3 a3mont mark. W at about you, $ndrew+ $ny new findings+ Andrew: Well, I guess t at 8uestion t at you got to ask is, is a members ip site even if it doesn%t c arge a mont ly fee like maybe a one3off fee of say F0 dollars, is it still a members ip site+ Is it still considered a members ip site+ W at ave you got to say+ Heather: 'reat. &es, yes, yes, good 8uestion actually because we are going doing t at wit one of our products actually rig t now. &es, it is. $ny site t at%s closed down w ere a person as to log in and get access is a private members ip site and, yes, you can c arge money upfront and do it t at way. ! ere is anot er way w ere you can ave t ree payments, (ust t ree payments for t e first t ree mont s or you can c arge 1<<I upfront and get a discount7 still a members ip site. A*actly rig t. Andrew: 'ood, good, good. "rice points for me, ere is t e t ing. It depends on w at you are actually offering in t e members ip site. If you are (ust offering content, let%s say it%s a couple of articles and some videos, it may be 103dollar or .03dollar price point7 but if you are offering like somet ing more greater t an t at, like may be one3on3one consultation every mont or may be a webinar t at you do specifically for members, you may want to c arge a little bit more, J0 or F0 dollars a mont . I know t ere are members ip sites out t ere w o would c arge a lot more because t ey are offering a lot more value to t eir customers and people are appy to pay .<< or 3<< or /<< dollars a mont to ave access to it because it%s t at valuable. )o, it really boils down to w at you ave actually got to offer your members in t e first place. Heather: &ou broug t up a really, really good point actually. ! e prices I was talking about were (ust for more information3based websites t at are not personali=ed as far as you giving your time and, $ndrew, w at you (ust said is, you are rig t, t ere is a w ole sort of mentoring model t at e*ists as well w ere you can get access to content on t e site but also webinars and live personal content wit t at person and definitely c arge more for t at, absolutely, because t at%s your time. $gain, we are coming back to your time and you ave t ink about ow muc you are going to c arge for your time as well. Andrew: &es.

Heather: 'ood point. )o, on t at note, I know we ave briefly talked about automation. I guess t e t ing to keep in mind wit your members ip websites is w en you are (ust getting started, you do not ave to worry about all t ese cra=y automation t ings be ind t e scene, ooking "ay"al up so it does t is and t ey your email program t at does t at. @eally and ultimately, (ust to get started, all you need is a "ay"al account and all you need is Wis list and Word"ress and some sort of nice3looking t eme and you can do t is manually if you need to (ust to test

t e market, (ust to initially get somet ing out t ere. &ou can get your email from "ay"al and t en give somebody access manually. If you really want to take baby steps, you can absolute do t at as well. )o, we are not wanting to make it overly comple* alt oug as you grow you will want to go automated so all t ese sales appen be ind t e scenes ticking over and you do not ave to do a t ing. Andrew: &es, I t ink you summed it up nicely. ?embers ip sites, as I said earlier, we could talk about t is for weeks and weeks and weeks.
