Activity Time
We will use the flash cards of rooms of the house to play the swat game and also play a memory game to help the students to learn the vocab. We are going to do a worksheet where the students have to label different rooms of the house and colour in the sheets also. We are going to focus on correct spelling and pronunciation. We will also play some rounds of hangman to improve spelling and reading. Once the class is comfortable identifying the different rooms in the house we will begin to explore various activities that we can do in each room. i.e. What can you do in the bedroom? In the bedroom I can sleep. his is a good way to practice can and can!t. "lso i will ask can you cook food in the bathroom? #o$ you can!t cook food in the bathroom. Once the students have learned the vocabulary we will play charades where a student performs an action in front of the rest of the group$ such as using a computer. he rest of the group put up their hands and make a guess at the activity using the grammar what is he%she doing? is he%she using a computer? his is a good way to introduce%practice speaking about various activities in the continuous present tense. We will complete a worksheet where the students have to match up activities with various rooms in the house and also they have to fill in the missing vowels.
