General Rules: (applicable to all participants)

All participants are requested to always wear their participation ID Cards when they are in the campus. They are also requested to carry their College ID Cards for security reasons failing which they will not be entertained to stay in the campus. All Participants are requested to maintain utmost discipline and professionalism. Smoking, consumption of alcohol and narcotics is strictly prohibited in the campus. The Organizers reserve all rights to disqualify any team or even escort them out of the college premises, if any disciplinary misbehavior arises. Participants who require accommodation facility are requested to intimate us well in advance (at least 15 days before the event dates). No outside food is allowed inside the campus; instead participants can use the mess facilities on daily payable basis. All Participants are requested to return all NICMAR properties if held (i.e. Room Keys etc.) before leaving the campus. All Participants are requested to take care of their belongings. The College or the Organizers take no responsibility for any lost property. Participants are requested to contact the event organizers if faced with any difficulties. All Teams should report 30 minutes before the schedule time of the event. Punctuality is of utmost importance and no late entrants shall be entertained. Team should not exceed the stipulated time limit of the events. Performances should not depict any element of vulgarity and use of unparliamentary language is strictly prohibited. If participants have any queries regarding the event, its rules or any other issues, they can meet any of the particular event organizers 15 min before the event. After that, participants wont be entertained. The Organizers reserve the right to change the schedule and rules of the events, if required. All participants would be intimated under such conditions. Participants are not allowed to question the judges discretion, which shall be final and binding in all respects. No appeals will be entertained in this regard. The Organizers reserve all rights to disqualify any team if any disciplinary misbehaviour arises during the events.

Round I: Elimination Participants will be divided into groups of 5 or 6 (according to the judges discretion). Each group will be given a starting paragraph of a story, which they have to complete amongst themselves. 10 minutes will be given to the participants to discuss the paragraph and develop a storyline (setting, plot, characters, conflict and theme) based on the paragraph, and decide who will write which part of the story (narrative, plot, climax, ending or however they choose to divide the storyline). Note: Groups do not have to use the paragraph as the starting of the story, but develop their own starting. 15 minutes will be given to them, during which participants will write down the storyline without further discussion among themselves. Round II: (Time duration for the round: Max.1 hour) A video will be shown to the participants, along with a few pictures. Round II : Guess It The 1st participant will be given a word (Parent word) to explain and along with it, a list of taboo words will be provided which must not be used to explain the parent word. The 2nd participant will have to draw what he/she understands. The 3rd participant (who will be waiting outside the room) will have to guess what the parent word is, based on the drawing by the 2nd participant. If a taboo word is used by the 1st participant, then the contribution made by him/her will not be considered. In other words, no points will be awarded to the first participant. Round II: Written round + Wordament i) Participants will be given a set of 10 words to spell. ii) They will also be given a grid of alphabets, from which they should produce individual (marks will be allotted according to the no. of alphabets used in each of the words) Round III: Viva voce [Oral Round] When a word is pronounced, the participant will have to pronounce the word and then proceed to spell it. (The participant can ask for the meaning of the word only) The first round will begin with each participant getting two words to be spelt. Student misspelling both the words will be eliminated. The student spelling both the words correctly will go to the next round. Students who have spelt word one correctly will have one word tie breakers to decide which of them goes to the next round.
