In spelling we focused on words with the long e and long u sound. Please
remember that all of our spelling work is done at school, but we encourage students to
study and practice at home. A great website for practice and games with our spelling
words is www.spellingcity.com.
Spanish with Senorita Leon does include a small amount of homework. Ask
your student if they have homework with Senorita Leon and go over it with them.
Also be on the lookout for important forms coming home regarding our
overnight Camp trip in November.

MATH
This week we continued working on fluency and computation in math. We
learned different strategies to help us with our multiplication and division facts.
One strategy we practiced was breaking apart a problem into two simpler CONTACT
problems. Next week we will continue working in Unit 1, which focuses on INFORMATION:
multiplication and division word problems and strategies that help us. Sandy Kriz-Herbert
