My love for Electrical Engineering started when I realised nothing in the world progresses with out electric power. The thought process of what is actually behind that makes turning of useless blades into a rotating ceiling fan is one of the most astonishing aspects of electrical engineering according to me. After graduating from Sathyabama University, Chennai, B.EElectrical Engineering, I felt the requirement more in depth knowledge by exploring the minute details of electric power system. This further motivated me to join M.E in Power System & Electric Drives from Thapar University, Patiala, where I have extensively worked in the field of contingency analysis in power system and also explored the role of artificial intelligence in electric power system.

Since, my carrier in Electrical Engineering especially after my Post Graduation I have worked in the field of artificial intelligence especially in the field of Artificial Neural Networks. I have learnt that the technique has an immense potential to solve any mapping problem in any engineering domain, and the challenge of handling enormous data is a critical issue. I would like to continue in exploiting the other artificial intelligence techniques into my area of research.

According to me research has an immense potential, it helps one to showcase his own talent to the outer world and the creation of novel techniques or ideas can be an extreme boon for the society. Thus my above thought motivates me to join a PhD program.

My purpose for applying to PhD program in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Shiv Nadar University is also to expand on my existing knowledge and to create additional opportunities for myself in the future. I believe that Shiv Nadar University will prepare me for a successful, motivated and an innovative research scholar.
