Problem area visible to the party has been voiced; insiders helped no doubt. We are talking here of education, job, lack of employment, drug issue, bad governance nexus, infrastructure, power, resource, industry IT and Manufacturing, development of indigenous product, nation security, border issue. One such starling fact is Manipur CM getting into agreement on border issue on its own capacity. Nation building is one of the main agenda. Which is a very positive aspect to focus on. Besides, we find political will and policy implementation aspect, where things get uncertain because vision and mission and promises can be bought and will, no sir.

I salute the culture of Manipur. Indian culture is not complete without Manipuri dance. Similarly, when we talk of sports, we see that Manipur gives the most. A large number of boy and girls from Manipur are in the army. Manipur gives colour and vibrancy to Indian culture. Manipur adds to the diversity of India. In Indian mythology, it is believed that the northeast is a pious place. Those who believe in Vastu Shastra believe that the northeast corner of the house is to be cared for the most. It is also said that if you want peace and prosperity, take care of the northeast part of the country. In a country as big as India, if there is welfare of the Northeast, there will be welfare of India. Unfortunatly, polices of the central government since Independence have not been aligned with the growth of the Northeast. But Atal Bihari Vajpayee made a separate ministry for the Northeast . He also gave a special package for the economic development of the Northeast. The Northeast has its own strength in economic development. It has biodiversity and medicinal plants. Its bamboo products can become a huge global business. What is the reason that China today is ahead in the export of herbal medicines? And despite having so many herbal medicines, we have not been able to do much due to the bad policies of the central government. If there is a movement for medicinal plants, we can give jobs to the youth here. Horticulture and agro-processing can do well in the Northeast. The region's oil and gas reserves and mineral wealth have to be harnessed in a systematic way. Northeast can be developed as a tourist paradise. All this can easily be done for the development of the region. Oil and gas reserves was been found here. Then why are we not able to bring economic progress to the region despite so much oil and gas? This is due to the lack of an economic vision. Due to lack of attention and infrastructure, this region is suffering. This region has been given an impression that it is not a part of the rest of India. The death of Nido Tania right in the national capital is a national shame. I met Northeastern students in Delhi and heard their grievances for hours and felt the pain. On my part, I have already said it was a shameful incident, a sad incident. I pray for the boy. But this is incident happened due to the collapse of the government in Delhi. I stand before you with a lot of conviction and commitment to do something. I want to take the process forward that Atal-ji started. I promise to bring this region at par with the rest of India.

Till now, we talked about seven sisters. After joining in Sikkim, we talk about eight sisters. These as the 'Ashta Lakshmi' that will change the fortune of India. They will be strong players in India's economic development. Northeast sitting on lotus will be India's Ashta Lakshmi. Due to lack of attention and lack of governance, Northeast has fallen into the hands of divisive forces. Insurgency and infiltration are the biggest problems of the region. Our land is not safe, life of the people are not safe. Manipur has the same problems as the rest of the Northeast. Manipur has seen some of the worst Congress governments. Drug consumption is a big problem in the Northeast due to lack of employment for youth. Some leaders are said to be complicit in drug trade. The Congress government in Manipur has broken all records in corruption like the UPA government at the Centre. When the BJP government comes to power, we will ask for account of every rupee. We will bring back all the black money stashed aboard. The Prime Minister of India represents the region in the Rajya sabha. Everyone knows he has done nothing for the Northeast. He only comes to lay foundation stones or cut ribbons but the projects never take off. We gave 60 years to the Congress. Did it benefit you? Your 60 years were wasted. Just give me 60 months. What is the need of electing such people? A lot of water has flown in the Brahmaputra. How long will we tolerate these people, how long will we live such backward lives? Everyone should get a chance in development. But you can't get anything from these people. The UPA at the Centre and the Congress government here has also played with national security. A lot of border pillars are missing on the border with Myanmar. Without taking parliament and the local governments into confidence, the Chief Minister of Manipur signed a treaty to change the boundary with Myanmar . Who has given them such powers? A huge part of India territory has been left off. These have gone to our neighbouring country. It is anti-national, anti-people. We can't let our territory go like this. Our party president Rajnath Singh wrote a letter on this issue to our prime minister in December 2013.

There is no water and no electricity here and in Delhi too, where the prime minister sits, there is no water or electricity. It's a coincidence of bad governance. PDS has failed, NREGA has failed in Manipur. Panchatayi Raj is not working effectively. There is no employment generation. Schemes are only on paper. Of the 6.5 lakh youth registered in the employment exchange in Manipur, do you know how many got jobs? Only 100 people! Why are you playing with the fate of boys and girls? They have to go to other parts of the cuntry to look for work. IT field can be a great provider of employment in this region. Manipur can do wonders in the IT sector. People here know English, are fluent in technology. I was speaking at seminar on IT. I asked IT company executives why outsourcing work is done only in metros. I asked them why it can't be done in smaller towns, in the Northeast, why not in Imphal. I had requested all chief ministers of the Northeast once. I requested them to send 200 policewomen from each of the eight states to Gujarat on deputation for two years. Gujarat government would take care of them, provide hospitality. That would have allowed people of Gujarat to know people of the Northeast and they would have decided to come to the Northeast as tourists. But no Congress government cared. My offer is still open. Send 200 women policewomen from each Northeastern state to Gujarat. You will feel Gujarat is your own and Gujarat will feel Manipur as its own. There will be national integration.

In all our policies, youth should get jobs. There should be good universities in the Northeast. Work on NH-53 is hanging fire for years. But can these people do it? Will you give the work to me? I will get it done, give us a chance. We will work on Silchar-Imphal road and the Dimapur-Imphal Road. Today they are in a bad shape. Manipur can be made a powerhouse in sports. Polo originated in Manipur. People of Manipur introduced the sports to the British. I am interested in a Saurashtra-Silchar road. Like Gujarat, Manipur's Rasleela is also famous. Lord Krishna was married to a Northeastern family. Rukmini was from the Northeast and Krishna lived in Gujarat.

The Silchar-Morelia-Myanmar road is also an important part of the South Asia trans-highway. We have to involve people in nation-building, with roads to connect them to the national mainstream. We have to give school and colleges, we have to secure borders. We have to bring industries to process what your region already has. If you do this, no one will have to worry about the Northeast. I assure you that we will work in this direction.

We want your support and we want your development. We want peace and we want development. We can build a new history. The politics of loot must end. Good days are coming after 100 days. Bad days are set to go.
