YOUTH SUICIDE PREVENTION

1. INTRODUCTION

We all live in a tough world with lots of stress and difficulties each of our own. We sometimes want to run away from the difficult reality and set free, but soon realise it was an outrageous thought and run back to our not-too-bad reality again. But there is a phase in our lives when the entire world seems like a mess and it gets worse and worse by the day. Stress from grades, acceptance rates, bullying or tuition fees are sometimes too much for a youngster to bear on their own, which occasionally leads them to the unfortunate decisions of ending their own lives. Recently there has been many suicide attempts and death amongst the youth age group and it is still increasing. According to UCOM there are 4600 youth suicides around the globe every year, which is one suicidal death amongst youth every two hours. These statistics show that this is a serious global problem and that we must find a solution to prevent youth suicide.
