Panhellenic Association at The University of Tampa Formal Recruitment 2014 Rho Gamma Application
Application Deadline: Wednesday February 19, 2014, at 5p.m. to The Office of Student Leadership and Engagement (VC 215) (When turning in application, please sign up for an interview time) Interview Schedule: Sunday, February 23 10AM-3PM

Rho Gamma Training Schedule & Meetings Friday March 28, 2014- Saturday March 29, 2014 Off-Campus Retreat (If you cannot attend this training, please do not apply) We will depart campus mid-afternoon on Friday and return after dinner on Saturday. Summer 2014 All Rho Gammas should plan on interacting with PNMs who register over the summer via email and Facebook. Training and meeting schedule for Fall 2014 semester, TBA. Expect the first meeting to be the day before the first day of classes on Sunday, August 24, from 10A-6P. Fall schedule will include open house, tailgate, information sessions, etc. (Final recruitment schedule to be completed by end of spring semester.) Qualifications of a Recruitment Guide: The recruitment guide (Rho Gamma) is expected to be: Full time student at The University of Tampa Be in good standing, including finances, with The University of Tampa, and her fraternity/sorority. Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) equal to or above a 2.7. Be an initiated member of her chapter Agree to attend all Rho Gamma training events and meetings. Failure to attend will result in immediate disqualification of applicant. An impartial representative of the Panhellenic Association, who understands and implements the purposes and goals of the Panhellenic Association in membership recruitment. An enthusiastic person of the fraternal community who is able to convey this enthusiasm to PNMs. One who exhibits objectivity and an inclusive attitude with respect to each member group in the Panhellenic Association and have a willingness to share positive information about each chapter. Team player, able to take initiative while collaborating as a whole with other Rho Gammas and her individual partner. An active listener, approachable, sensitive, positive, perceptive, and able to maintain confidentiality. A responsible, dependable, and resourceful person in obtaining information and providing answers to difficult questions. Willing to contribute personal time, complete all training and execute assigned responsibilities with enthusiasm and sincerity during the entire membership recruitment process. Duties of the Recruitment Guide: Attends all recruitment guide training sessions and completes responsibilities, including Panhellenic recruitment tabling during the spring and fall semester. Explains all procedures and answers questions concerning the mechanics of membership recruitment and recruitment activities. Stimulates and maintains interest in the recruitment process and in joining a womens fraternity/sorority. Keeps all information confidential regarding conversations with PNMs. Monitors the PNMs progression through the membership recruitment process. Be willing to act as a role model and support for PNMs even after the recruitment process has ended. Is available the entire time during recruitment for the PNMs to address concerns and offer guidance in one-on-one counseling situations. Escorts recruitment group to Panhellenic-scheduled functions and recruitment events but does not attend the individual chapters recruitment events. Reinforces position as a neutral representative of the Panhellenic Association by refraining from contact with her own fraternity/sorority and from revealing affiliation until after recruitment is over. (Disaffiliation Ceremony will occur during spring retreat-this will not limit you from attending spring formals or philanthropy events for your chapter.) Models the Panhellenic Creed. Understands the procedure for reporting possible recruitment violations and reports such concerns to the Panhellenic Association President or Panhellenic Association advisor immediately. Understands that the recruitment guide is authorized to file recruitment violations, though it is not her primary or central responsibility.
