Copyright 2011 InnoLab LLC | All rights reserved User's Guide | Make Contest PHP script | version 1.3 released | MC v4.0.1

The script comes with a number of pre-installed pages to give you an idea on how to get started. For example, about us page:

You can edit this text to your liking or you can disable/delete the page. If you disable the page make sure you also edit or remove the links to it. For example, if your theme has a footer link About us you can remove this link by removing <li><?= LANG::_(footerlink9)?></li> in the footer.html le of your theme. If you edit the pages URL (i.e. change about-us to our-company) you will need to change the link in your language le (i.e. in this case: replace $lang[footerlink9] = <a href=. PATH::_(index.php?page=about-us) .>About us</a>; with $lang[footerlink9] = <a href=. PATH::_(index.p hp?page=our-company) .>Our company</a>; Any page can be connected to the main menu of your site. See Menu Manager to create a link to your page in the main site menu. Pages which are not linked to any menu items are called orphan pages. For example, about-us page is an orphan page because we dont have any menu items linking to it. After the page is published, it can be called from any other pages using the url shown in the Page Manager. Page options:

NAME: URL-compatible name with no blank spaces or other symbols allowed. There is an auto-formatter on that box to try to correct any wrong input by the user. The only characters allowed are a-z, 0-9, _-. If you enter about-us as pages name, the URL of that page would be www.site.com/ about-us.html (sef URL enabled) or www.site.com/ index. php?page=about-us (sef URL disabled) TITLE: Title of the page to be used in the title tag of a web page which denes the title of the document. Example code output: <title>Contests</title> DESCRIPTION: Description to be used in the Meta Description Tag, a snippet of HTML code that belongs inside the <head> </head> section of a Web page. Example code output: <meta http-equiv=description content=Launch your graphic contests online! />

Copyright 2011 InnoLab LLC | All rights reserved User's Guide | Make Contest PHP script | version 1.3 released | MC v4.0.1

KEYWORDS: Keywords to be used in the Meta Keywords Tag, a tag that allows you to provide additional text for search engines to index. Example code output: <meta http-equiv=keywords content=contest, launch, design /> PRIVATE: Enable if you want this page to be visible only to a logged in user. ENABLED: Enable/disable page.
To display any type of content on your site you need to create a page. This can be a simple paragraph using only <p>your content</p> tags or it can be fully html (dont add <html><head><body> tags, they are provided by the template engine). You can view HTML code of sample pages by clicking HTML button of the editor. To have your new pages looking the same as other pages of your site nd out and use the same classes as the other pages the theme.

The HTML code for the about-us page is:

<p>{MAINMENU}</p> <div class=custom-page> <h1>About {SITE_NAME}</h1> <div class=wrapper30> <h2>Use this page to describe your company</h2> <h3>Our comapny</h3> <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Quisque vehicula facilisis ligula, at ultricies urna ornare vel. Cras sed tortor nisl, at placerat tellus. Mauris purus lorem, euismod eget tristique sit amet, ultrices a augue. Nunc felis risus, tincidunt et fermentum ac, tincidunt ut eros.</p> <h3>Our promise to you</h3> <p>Ullam commodo tempor est quis tristique. Cras vitae massa eros, eu scelerisque urna. Aenean imperdiet, augue at dapibus mattis, nunc enim tristique velit, a semper urna arcu ac nulla. Sed pulvinar massa sit amet leo facilisis hendrerit.</p> <h3>Our values</h3> <p>Vivamus lectus orci, scelerisque malesuada sollicitudin eget, aliquet vel sem. Nulla ultricies sollicitudin dolor, sit amet fermentum sem luctus vitae.</p> </div> </div>

Notice <p>{MAINMENU}</p>. This code will add Top Menu to your Page. You can add this code by clicking menu button in the editor.

The page can also receive all or part of its content using a module on the page. To include a module you will need to add the {DC_MODULES} place holder. This gets replaced by the modules output. The button to install the module placeholder is found on the right of the editors button bar. Alternatively you can use <p>{DC_MODULES}</p> code in HTML view.

If your page shows {DC_MODULES} instead of module output this means you havent yet published a module for this page. See Module Manager instructions on how to set up your modules.

MODULE MANAGER
To display any type of module you must have a page to display it on. If you dont have a page to display your module please create one rst. Workow for working with modules: 1. make sure you have a page where you want the module to show. See Page Manager for instructions on creating pages 2. insert module placement code ( for HTML view or click a button in the editor) in to dene where your module will show (see Page Manager for instructions) 3. create new module in Module Manager. Select the page where you want to display your module and set your module (see below for details on each module) This is where you can install, delete and edit site modules. The script comes with a number of pre-created modules to help you with building your site. Each module has its own settings and can be shown on any page of your site, provided you have placed a module placeholder on that page. Options for creating a new module:

NAME: Please give your module a name. DISPLAY ON PAGE: Choose a page where your module will be published from the dropdown list. ORDER: If you are displaying more than one module on a page you can use ordering to ensure they are in the order you want them. CONTAINER ID: Here you can add div id to be added to module container. Code output will be something like <div id=your container ID name class=dc_module clearBoth> Your module here </div> CONTAINER CLASS SUFFIX: This value cannot be changed. It adds class suffix dc_module to your module container. DISPLAY NAME: Choose if you want to display the name of the module. ENABLED: Enable/disable module. MODULE: Choose the type of module you want to display.
Please note that since different modules have different functions, you need to save the module rst by clicking Publish to see additional options available for the particular module you chose.

PACKAGE HIGHLIGHTS MODULE

This module will display the Package Highlights module on a chosen page. In the example below you see the Package Highlights module displayed on the About us page.

Any category you create in the Category Manager will automatically insert a new image (category image you uploaded while creating your new category) into the Package Highlights Module. The name you have given to your category is automatically converted into a url-compatible name (alias) which is linked to a page. For example, if you name your category Sample design contest the highlight module automatically creates an image with a link to page http://www.yoursite/sample-design-contest.html. Since the page does not exist yet, when you click on category image in Package Highlight you will get the 404 not found error. To x this you have to create the Sample design contest page in the Page Manager, the name should be sample-design-contest . Most likely you want this page displaying contests in the sample design category. Therefore you may want to place a main menu place holder and module placeholder. The html code of your page in Page Manager is then
<p>{MAINMENU}</p> <p>{DC_MODULES}</p>

If you check your sample-design-contest.html page now you will see main menu and {DC_MODULES} line. This is because you have not published any modules for this page yet, so there is nothing to output. To x this you have to add a module to this page. Go to Module Manager and add a Module for this page. To do so choose sample-design-contest for display on page; choose contests for module; choose Sample design contest for Module will display.

Once done, dont forget to add image 04.png into your images folder. If you want to completely remove some parts, for example Questions? Call us on 1-800-999-9999 you have to remove HTML markup from render.php, in this example please remove this line:
