What a privilege it was to baptize Gram and
Jennifer Short! I am thankful for their
commitment to our family of faith and I pray
we will continue to welcome them with open
arms. Our church is growing and God is
sending us individuals and families to help us
advance the Gospel of Jesus to Hamilton and
beyond. If you have been absent lately, I want
to encourage you to get back involved as God is
doing great things in the life of our church.
Our Youth Minister – Eric – reported there were
over 200 at our first 5th Quarter Fellowship a
couple of weeks ago after the Hamilton Bulldog
football game. We look forward to this Friday
as our Student Ministry continues with a
concert series for the 5th Quarter Fellowships. I
know Eric would love to have you come and
volunteer this Friday and help chaperone these
students as they are enriched by good Christian
music. Thanks for getting involved and helping
out with this vital ministry of FBC.
Also, our Sunday night Bible study for students
kicked off last night at two host homes.
‘Portico’ is the name of this event that is
happening for junior high and senior high
students. I hope if you know a student who
needs to be fed the word of the Lord you will
make sure they know about this ministry.
Maybe they need a ride – maybe they just need
a little encouragement – maybe they need a
phone call or card from you to get them
involved. I pray we will do all we can to point
students to Christ this fall. I’m thankful for Eric
and his efforts to do this. Let’s pray for him, the
Youth Ministry Committee, and all the students
during this school year.
