oda" # will e$plain all LS1600A users how the" %an %onfigure their re%ei&er to work in %ard-share mode with the %orre%t e'uipment Please note that this method will onl" be applied on re%ei&ers with Ls1600 brand( at the moment the" %an onl" %ommuni%ate ea%h other )k so in order for the re%ei&er to work in %ard-share we will need the following produ%ts 1- LS1600A *e%ei&er +- *+,+ to -thernet Adapter ,- -thernet .able /- *S+,+ .able 0- P. Ser&er Software 1ote2 Ser&er P. software will onl" be re'uired for user sharing is %ard through the net Part-+ )k so first thing we will ha&e to do is %onne%t re%ei&er to net adapter and for that we will need to use the rs+,+ %able in order to %onne%t on the ba%k of re%ei&er and to net-adaptor( then we will use the -thernet %able to %onne%t on other side on net-adaptor onto the P. !his will allow the re%ei&er to %ommuni%ate with %omputer in order to allow ser&er software to see %ard info on P.

Part-3 )n%e we ha&e %onne%ted all the items we will need to go into %ardshare menu on re%ei&er( and to do it we need to %li%k 3-14 button then press 5555 to allow "ou entran%e into %ard-share menu )n%e inside we should see a s%reen like this

So in this %ase we will use Dire%t ADSL6.able %onne%tion 7this means that the P. with ser&er software installed is %onne%ted dire%tl" to internet 3odem8 )k so on menu %ard-share we will ha&e to input the following information2

#nternet8 the mode we will need for this option is #nternet

2- !hen on 1etworkLink!"pe we will ha&e to sele%t .onst #P 3- !hen on Ser&er #P we will ha&e to input the #P address that the

Ser&er software P. is using to a%%ess to internet 7!o find this #P address used b" the ser&er software P.( we ha&e to %li%k on Start( *un( .3D( ip%onfig8 from the %omputer where software is installed( this same %omputer need to be %onne%ted dire%tl" to internet in this e$ample 19+ 16: + 00,

4- !hen we will lea&e domain blank and will mo&e on to 4sername

and Password( on username we %an input what we want and on password we %an %hoose onl" numbers
5- !hen we will ha&e to input the Lo%al #P address this #P address

we will use the Ser&er #P address but on last , digits we %hange to 100( in this e$ample 19+ 16: + 100
6- !hen we will ha&e to input the Lo%al 3ask( we will use the same

mask from ip%onfig used in P. with ser&er software( in this e$ample +00 +00 +00 000

7- !hen ;e will ha&e to input the <atewa" address( for the

gatewa" address we ha&e to input same gatewa" address as it appears on ser&er P. address in this e$ample 19+ 16: + 00, :- !hen on D1S ser&er we lea&e it blank unless ne%essar" b" %onne%tion( then we %li%k write and we should ha&e a message sa"ing write su%%eed Part-4 )n%e we finish %onfiguring the sharing mode in re%ei&er it is time now to %onfigure the LA1 port in P. with ser&er software so we %an allow %onne%tion between re%ei&er and P. 1- #n order to %hange #P Address in LA1 port %onfiguration we ha&e to do the following2

3- )n%e we open network %onne%tion window we should see +

Lo%al Area .onne%tions 7Lo%al Area for #nternet and Lo%al area for -thernet port %onne%ting to re%ei&er8
4- ;e %li%k with right button mouse and then sele%t properties on

the Lo%al Area .onne%tion LA1 being used b" re%ei&er and we should see a window like this )n%e we ha&e window open we will need to sele%t internet Proto%ol 7!.P6#P8( then %li%k on Properties Button whi%h will open a new window like this2

;e then need to sele%t 4se the following #P address and enter the %orre%t information2 #P address 2 19+ 16: 000 1+0 7!his is the Default gatewa" address written in re%ei&er share menu8 Subnet mask2 +00 +00 +00 000 Default <atewa" same as on "our ser&er p% a%%essing the internet in this %ase 719+ 16: 000 0018 )n%e we input this data we %li%k sa&e( and mo&e on to stage 0 Part-0 1ow that we ha&e %onfigured all setting in P. and *e%ei&er it is time now to fire up the ser&er p% Software

)n%e we fire up ser&er software we should be able to see %ard information !his means the %ard "ou will be sharing should show up on the ser&er management software Also on the left side u need to %onfigure the users information Su%h as Password( -mail( so u %an tra%k who "ou are gi&ing a%%ess to

As for tests made with re%ei&er %onne%ted to a router &ia -thernet e$ternal adaptor the" ha&e not been full" tested so perhaps a new update manual to %ome
