Our desk officer spo1 Manansala informed our chief about the call and he told us to form a team and proceed to the given address and to verify the veracity of the report. Q. We proceeded to the said address and confirmed that there is indeed a dead woman on the said address. Q. This address you said, is it some establishment an open area, A. This address sir to be exact is the resident of the victim, Maya Q. You said that the victims name is Maya, how you came to know of her identity A. In the process of investigation, we ask around the neighborhood if they know who may be the owner of the residence. Then we sought the help of the BRGY. Chairman if he could positively identify the victim. When we ask him if he knows who is the said victim, he told us that it was the owner of the house, Maya. Q. Upon positively identifying who is the victim, what did you do next if there is any? A. We proceeded to our investigation of the crime scene and assessed it if we would need to request for the assistance of the SOCO. Q. Initially, Mr witness what did you observe on the CS? A. There was this helpless woman lying on the sala of the house, drenched in her own blood. We also noticed the CCTV camera attached at the top of the door. Q. What did you do after? Q. Were there any relatives the victim was living with? A. It appears sir that she was alone in the house. Q. What happened next? A. We searched the house and we found in the living room an open vault and the room is in chaos as if it is ransacked and there were broken glass fixtures and other ornamentation inside the room. Then we took photograph of the whole crime scene and after assessing the gravity of the case, we informed our chief that we need the assistance of the SOCO team to process the CS. Q. Did the SOCO team arrived? A. Yes sir, Q: What happened next if there is any?

A: After the coordination with the SOCO Team, the SOCO assumed the processing of the CS. Then they caused the victim to be brought to the morgue for autopsy and the SOCO team leader informed us the physical evidence that they have collected for lab examinations Q. What were those physical evidence, Mr witness? A. They collected blood samples, latent shoe prints, 4 sets of high definitions CCTV installed in the house of Maya together with the raw files of the video footage from the CPU of the server computer, a baseball bat and some scattered jewelries Q. What happened next? A. The team together with the SOCO Team Leader conducted the final search for other physical evidence and upon finding that there is none, we released the CS to the Brgy Chairman as a procedure then he locked the house. Q. What happened next if there is any? A. I proceeded to the Station to make my report while SPO1 Tampipi and San juan had a follow up investigation on the case. Q. How are they connected to this case? A. During the follow up investigation conducted, some of the neighbors said that they saw the suspects running out of the house as they hear some noises on the house of Maya. Q. Did they give any statements regarding this case and the participation of the suspects? A. No sir they are afraid to give statements. Q. What did you or your team did next? A. After gathering the information from the result of the forensic raw video analysis of the SOCO from the CCTV attached inside the house of MAYA, the victim. Our department elevated the case to the Fiscals office. Q. Initially, what was the result of the forensic analysis of the CCTV footage? A. According to the said report. The CCTV captured the series of events that transpired on the night that the crime was happening. Accordingly, there were 3 men, no masked on their faces and who proceeded in the house of Maya. One is seen climbing up on the veranda caused the opening of the main door for the other 2 men to enter. When they are all inside the house, they climbed up the stairs and open the walk in safe then stole 10 trays of jewelries apparently owned by the victim. When they are about to leave, suddenly Maya arrived wondering why is her main door open. The latter accused robbers tried to hide then all of a sudden another man came holding a baseball bat then hit Maya on the head.

Q. As you were saying, based on the SOCO CCTV forensic report, there were 3 men who rob the place and there was another man who came who hit Maya?

Q. What else did the said report provided? A. Their faces are clearly seen because they did not wear masks on and due to the high definition feature of the CCTV. Q. What did your department sought after SOCO report? A. We conducted identity search for the perpetrators. Q. What was the result of that search? A. We found out, based on the information we have gathered in the BRGY. OFFICE and COMELEC, that the first 3 men who came inside the house of Maya and then stole her jewelries was Juan, Joaquin and Jinggoy and the one who came after who hit Maya on her head was Honesto. They all lived next door to the victim. Q. What did you do next? A. We elevated the case to the Fiscals office and arrested four of them by virtue of a warrant. Q.
