Academic Affairs Secretary

The Academic Affairs Secretray(AAS) represents views of the Student body on academic matters, pertaining to courses, academic policies, faculty and the academic framework. The AAS should be accessible to individual students in solving their personal academic problems and shall take up any issues with the concerned officials . He should take up issues regarding the non issue or any other issues of scholarships to the students. The AAS shall coordinate with the fuctioning of the facilities related to Academics of institute , like libraries, !omputer labs, The "lacement #ffice, labs of individual departments etc. The AAS shall convey in person or through other elected members, the suggestions, grievances or aspirations related to Academics of students obtained in the $%& , to respective authorities and the Academic Senate. He'She should see to it that students( interest(s are given weightage and effective action is taken in all important issues. The AAS shall be conversant with all academic rules of the institute and shall be constantly in touch with )ean , Academics and the Academic Section and see to it that there is no communication gap between the students and the adminstration. The AAS shall periodiaclly report to the $%& , the progress and the functioning of AA! and new poilicies, if any. The AAS shall be a part of the AA! and SA*! and should constantly be in touch with all members and see to it that constructive actions are taken . The AAS shall be in touch with the !+(s council and should take each person(s inputs and grievances and act upon them. !+ council,

labs respectively. The council shall assist the AAS in performing the duites . However, decision of are final and binding. AA!

He should nominate the student members of AA! in consultation with the "resident , $ymkhana. He should conduct periodic meetings of AA! and take up its suggestions to faculty for 1uick approval and implementation.
