B220 WRB Design Enhancements

Scope of Work

Scope of Work (SOW) for Phase One:

The selected ADT for each bundle will be expected to complete the following tasks
as part of the Phase One conceptual design enhancement phase:

• Embrace the project goals and project theme, Whilamut Passage, and the
directions that resulted from the design workshops, DEP work sessions, and
project work package requirements and timelines.

• Realize innovative solutions responsive to the objectives of ODOT and


respectful of local context within a culturally and economically diverse
community.

• Identify ideas and proposals of merit that may emerge beyond the scope of
the WRB project.

• Define elements that are within the full jurisdiction, ownership and
maintenance of ODOT and those requiring stakeholder involvement or
consent and/or intergovernmental agreements (IGA) defining future
ownership and maintenance responsibilities.

• Estimate and recommend budget ranges based on priorities listed in the


Design Enhancement Matrix.

• Contribute to and monitor development and decisions of other aspects of the


WRB project.

• Identify design elements, opportunities, or “zones” to move forward as


aesthetic enhancements and artwork as outlined in the Design Enhancement
Matrix and Bundle Map.

• Organize and prioritize components of the Bundles (or zones) as outlined in


the Design Enhancement Matrix and Bundle Map.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure conceptual ideas are compatible
with existing stakeholder constraints and design criteria. Key stakeholders
for the various bundles are outlined in the matrix. Note that ADTs for bundles
other than the one you are working on are considered stakeholders for your
bundle.

• Produce and present conceptual drawings, specifications and estimated cost


for construction of design enhancement elements by the contractor and/or
for commissioned art/design elements for the WRB project.

Scope of Work (SOW) for Phase Two: Contingency Tasks

(The following are Contingency Tasks to be executed only upon written approval
from OBEC after completion and acceptance of Phase One conceptual designs)

ADT s selected for completing Phase Two final design and/or art production for a
given bundle will be expected to complete the following tasks as part of the Phase
Two:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure final design is compatible with


existing stakeholder constraints and design criteria. Note that ADTs for
bundles other than the one you are working on are considered stakeholders
for your bundle.

• Produce working drawings, specifications and estimated costs for contractor


constructed design enhancement elements to be executed by the contractor
during construction, as required based on Phase One outcomes.

• Produce final commissioned art pieces to be incorporated into the project


construction, as required based on Phase One outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with the WRB design and construction team to integrate
the above design enhancement elements into the final constructed project.
