NEW JERSEY NURSING STUDENTS, INC. EXECUTIVE BOARD

Dear Delegate, It is important for us, as students and professionals, to have our voice heard. We can accomplish this through our membership and most importantly, participation in our professional organizations. I invite you to let your voice be heard and represent your student body by taking a position on the New Jersey Nursing Students, Inc. (NJNS) Executive Board for the 2014-2015 year. During the convention, all positions will be open for candidates. Take some time to review the responsibilities of the following positions that make up the Executive Board. These responsibilities can be found in our Bylaws and Policy Book included in this binder. Positions include: President First Vice President Second Vice President Secretary Treasurer Pulsebeat Editor/Public Relations Director Membership/Nominations Director Community Health Director Breakthrough to Nursing Director Legislation Education Director Resolutions Director Fundraising Director NJNS is the stepping stone to the graduate organizations including the New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA) and the New Jersey League for Nursing (NJLN), representing professional standards, codes and ethics. Experience gained while volunteering for this organization is invaluable. You will have the opportunity to grow personally, to promote membership and mentor future leaders. Each officer of NJNS will be called upon to devote much time and energy unselfishly for the welfare of NJNS and should willingly do so. Please see any member of the board with questions you may have.
