Fenice, meaning phoenix was created by Italian typeface designer Aldo Novarese in 1977. It was liscensed in 1980 by ITC and has been used by such works as Ralph Lauren, Forrest Gump, and Seinfeld. Centaur
Centaur was created in 1914 by Bruce Rogers, and was later released in 1929. Rogers originally designed the typeface for titles used by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Its name comes from a composition in prose by French Poet Maurice de Guerin. This book was the first publication to feature the Centaur typeface.Centaur has a well known oblique stress while still maintaining little difference between thick and thin strokes. Optima

The humanist sans serif typeface Optima was designed by German type designer Hermann Zapf. The flare of the terminals gives a suggestion of a glyphic serif, and was inspired by classical Roman letters. With its seven font weights, and flexible spacing options, Optima is well suited for many uses, both in the professional world, and in recreational work. Its best known usage is easily the Vietnam War Memorials enduring walls, pictured to the right.

Fette Fraktur

A mix between broken letter capitals and gothic style lowercase, Fette Fraktur is a strong and beautiful typeface. Johann Christian Bauer designed the letterforms in Germany during the late 19th century, and intended for Fette Fraktur to be used for a display and advertisment type. It has been a favorite of authentic food and brewery shops because of its antique and fancy characteristics. Set in German, the font can be read with greater ease than in English, making Fette Fraktur best suited for larger type applications.
