In the stage of picking a topic, I wanted a topic that was narrow yet broad enough to provide extensive research. In the present I am concerned of how other nations like North Korea are threatening the United States of America and may destroy our lands or even bring us war. Our nations safety has resulted in the publishing of the Central Intelligence Agency and have here lays my topic of interest. I was eager to learn their rights and responsibilities in the government of the United States. The topic had all of the requirements, and I thought it would be good to recognize an agency responsible for providing national security for our nation.

Once I finalized my topic, I began researching at our local library finding good videos and websites online. My first stop was the Attorney Generals Office where I interviewed Attorney General Afoa Lutu who helped me understand what is involved with the topic of national security of the United States. There was still a need to collect more information in order for supplement my work further. So I asked numerous people like teachers, librarians, online interviews, etc. Lastly, I scoured through the web to get contact with the Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in Virginia.

Living the generation of advanced technology, I have experienced how easily anyone can retrieve sources from websites and how there is an endless amount of help and resources. A website seemed to be the most fitting category of entrance for my project, since I would easily be able to post videos and information from the internet, while increasing the amount of primary sources. It also allowed me to use a variety of multimedia. I divided up the pages for each week to work and examine carefully for final improvements.

The Central Intelligence Agency has its rights and responsibilities in our government. According to the CIAs main website, the Central Intelligence Agencys primary mission is to

collect, evaluate, and disseminate foreign intelligence to assist the president and senior United State government policymakers in making decisions relating to the national security. The CIA does no make policy; it is the CIAs responsibility to be an independent source of foreign intelligence information for those who do. The CIA has the right to engage in convert action at the presidents direction in accordance with applicable law. Being familiar with the rights and responsibilities of the Central Intelligence Agency gives the US citizen a feeling of confidence and an assurance of government protector. This project will help us decide if we are under good hands or the ones that can affect our nations rights or freedom.
