Actionable Information Speeds Understanding

With powerful access to fully correlated data, Empirix E-XMS signicantly cuts the time it takes to understand issues in complex environments. It monitors data and signalling ows at multiple points in the network and captures data packets at line rate. Empirix collects end-to-end data on each communication event and saves it all as an Application Service Detail Record (ASDR). These ASDRs are produced for every call and session on the network at rates of thousands of calls/sessions a second and millions of packets per second. Empirix includes a powerful database that supports multi-dimensional, complex queries into subscribers, network elements and/or protocols. Optimized for rapid returns, results are linked to associated ladder diagrams and protocols decodes for instant deep dives into packet and message level analysis. Empirix Multi-service Probes (MSP) Empirix MSP products can simultaneously monitor voice, video and data services in all major mobile and xed network types. Packets are captured via interface cards supporting up to 10Gb interfaces with architectural support for 40Gb and 100Gb bandwidth volumes. They are then routed via a service agnostic dynamic dispatch function to multiple processing cores. Empirix MSPs range in size and capacity - from cost effective 1U units to multiple 10Gb chassis for demanding Tier 1 LTE environments. Storage options on the probe allow conguration of up to 96TB for high levels of record storage for historical analysis. Empirix Regional Operation Server (ROS) To maximize efciency in large scale Tier 1 network deployments, Empirix E-XMS uses regional servers to manage and correlate data from multiple Empirix probes. A single 3U Empirix ROS can handle up to 3000 calls/sessions per second. It employs compression and I/O optimization techniques for high volume data writes. Using an array of 15,000 RPM storage drives, Empirix can support multiple simultaneous autonomous queries without any degradation in result return time. Empirix Network Wide View (NWV) Empirix NWV offers end-to-end visibility into customer experience, application performance and network operations. It correlates data across the entire environment and provides a single entry point for operators using multiple regional servers to manage operations.
