CURRENT ISSUES AND TRENDS

ASSIGNMENT SHEET
NAME:

Students will be assigned to a group of 3-5 by the instructor. Each group will choose a
current issue or trend in the field of early childhood to research and present to class. Each
group will need to prepare a one-page (can be front and back or pamphlet style) handout on
their issue to give to class members at the time of their presentation. Presentations can
include media, art, music, role-play, games etc. Use your imagination and talents to come up
with an interesting way to present this topic to the class. Students, peers and the
instructor will evaluate the project using the Evaluation Sheet. Each group will be expected
to work cooperatively and will need to meet online.
Students will have the opportunity to give objective feedback on their group experience
when completing the group evaluation. For the group evaluation students should divide 100
points between group members to reflect the amount of their involvement in the I & T
