0 Infocube Creation Step 1


SAP has come up with enhanced functionalities for business warehousing. The new functionalities are part of SAP Business Intelligence 7.0 (SAP BI 7.0). There are some differences in SAP BI 7.0 while creating ob ects. !e will see how to create Info"ube and other related #b ects in SAP BI 7.0. Infocube uses concept of star schema. Infocube is created using "haracteristics and $e% &igures. "haracteristics are le'els on which reporting has to be performed. &or e(ample) Product) "ustomer and Plant. $e% &igures are measures used for characteristics. &or e(ample) sales *uantit% for a product) customer and location combination. In this section we will discuss InfoArea and Info#b ect "atalog creation steps in SAP BI 7.0. +) ,ogon to SAP and -(ecute transaction .SA+) shown below is the left hand side panel

8) Acti'ate the Info#b ect "atalog

+6) Press 0"ontinue0 button to create new dimension or press 0"reate0 to create more than one dimension at a time
