The course is run over two days with the assessment held within one week: Day 1 - session 1 Sale of Liquor Act 1989 Policing of premises Management of premises Day 1 - session 2 Types of licences Offences and penalties for management and staff Other legal implications Day 2 - session 1 Host responsibility Characteristics of alcohol Legal requirements, offences and penalties for alcohol service Drinking and driving Day 2 - session 2 Duty manager and server responsibilities Intoxication behavioural indicators Prohibited persons Elements of good host responsibility Incident book Please note: morning tea is provided fees must be paid at least five days before course date a cancellation fee of $30 will be charged unless a minimum of three days notification is provided a cancellation fee of $30 will be charged for courses booked but not attended (unless arrangements can be made to rebook the course). The cost of the course is $191 per person including GST. In-house courses can be arranged under special circumstances. The course runs for two days from 9.30am to 3pm, daily. Course dates are available on application. For course bookings please phone the course coordinator on 09 353 9069. A course workbook/manual is provided. You must bring with you NZQA approved student identification. If you have a copy of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989, it is recommended that you bring it. Please note that the fees shown may change.
