April 6, 2011 Dear Parents, Students, Teachers and Staff: Once again, it is the time of year when the Professional Development Committee seeks nominations for the Teacher-of-the-Year Award. In keeping with tradition the nomination procedure will also include nominations from parents, students, teachers, and staff. Completed nomination forms can be sent to Lee-Ann Dauerty (ldauerty@seymourschools.org) in Central Office, 98 Bank Street, Seymour, CT 06483. The Teacher of the Year for Seymour will be recognized at the annual Board of Education recognition meeting in June and will be invited to give a welcome back message at our opening day ceremonies. In addition, the Seymour Teacher of the Year will represent our district at the State Teacher of the Year recognition ceremony. The nomination forms and criteria are attached and can also be obtained in the main office of each school. All completed nomination forms must be received in Central Office by Monday, May 2, 2011.
