Last September 25, our Biology class took a field trip.

The places that we went to are the Bioresearch, Picnic Grove and the Gourmet Farm. All of us students enjoyed the places that we went. On the bus we are together with the I-8 and the Prof. Cortes, the one who in-charged for all of the students on the bus. Before we leave the campus, Prof. Cortes give guide questions to us for the first venue that we will arrived to, the Bioresearch. As we depart from the campus, I see the excitement of my classmates and learn many things on that day. As we are going to Bioresearch, our tour guide, Robert explained things to us as we taking the road. Like when he asks us how many cities that the NCR has? And what date does these places proclaimed as cities. He gives trivia to us the story of Manila and he does entertainment like asking questions and giving a prize for those who answer his question. He also challenged us to know what the smallest fish is and capture different species with their scientific names. All of us students, challenged and at the same time have fun on the Bioresearch which is located in Sucat, Paraaque. As we enter the Bioresearch, I took pictures of plants and animals for the task that we need to accomplish. Our tour on the Bioresearch has shown us the Black Moor and the Worlds Largest Fresh Water fish which is the Pirarucu or the Arapaima Gigas. And the smallest fish, the gapi or molly. We are amazed as we see the Arapaima gigas because of his size. Then we moved on to the birds like the Pineapple Chicken, the Eclectus Parrot and the Peacock. Our tour guide explained to us how to classify if the peacock is male or female. We encounter also the edible plant, Ashitaba. We enter to the house of bees. On that place, they explained to us where the bees live and what do the bees eat and introduced us to the roles of the bees which are the mother or the queen, who always give offspring. The worker, the one who has responsibility to clean the house of the bees while the Drone which is the partner of the queen. He also showed to us the product of the bees. As w move out the house, I encountered a citronella and I cant believe that this plant can produce products like the Soap and Aromatherapy, Head lice Prevention and Perfumes.
