Description

1.1

BIONADI Desktop PC

i) Verify that internet connection is available by pinging 10.2.0.11 (There

will be a reply if a valid connection is available)
ii) Install PowerSure iTON 600VA (iTON600VA) UPS for that particular
desktop
iii) Take out the existing RAM on the desktop and install 2 fresh pieces of
512MB DDR RAM
iv) Rename the PC/Desktop according to the location you do the
installation (refer to System Configuration Info AADK site Office
excelsheet under column PC Name.)

1.1.1 Symantec Setup

i) Install Symantec antivirus software using the Symantec Antivirus CD,
refer to Symantec Antivirus.doc for guidance.

1.1.2 VPN Setup

i) Install the FortiClientSetup_3.0.465. It is located inside VPN Folder
a) Please refer to document step to install FortiClient V1.2
located inside the same folder while doing the installation.
b) Once the installation completed, import the configuration setup
file AADKrouteVPNLocal.vpl please refer to step to import
FortiClient Configuration files V1.2 in the same folder and follow
the instruction how to import the configuration setup file.

c) After finish import the configuration files, need to change the

virtual IP address to avoid IP conflict/overlapping.
1. Click to VPN tab. Make sure you check all the boxes under Option.
Later go to Advanced button edit

2. a pop-up window will appear and click Advance

3. Click Config button which is next to the Acquire virtual IP address

4. Choose Manually Set and key in the IP, please refer to System
Configuration Info - AADK site office under column Virtual IP

Address. Make sure you key in the virtual IP address which is belong to
the location where you do the installation to avoid IP overlapping (refer to
System Configuration Info (virtual IP)- AADK site office under
column Location.)

5. Click ok for all the open pop-up until get back to main screen.

6. Click Connect to connect to VPN.

c) Attempt to connect.
d) Upon successful connection, try to ping 192.168.2.3 using
command prompt/dos prompt.

1.1.2 Mozilla Firefox Setup

i) Install Mozilla Firefox which is inside the Installer CD under Firefox
folder

a) Configure Mozilla Firefox following the configuration manual

document Firefox configuration in the same folder.
b) Create shortcut on the desktop and name the shortcut
BioNADI
ii) Reboot the pc
***Remind the Officer-in-charge need to manually connect the forticlient
software to the Headquarter every time they boot up the pc. (To manually
connect to the headquarter, please right click at the forticlient software
located at the taskbar on the bottom right corner of the screen and choose
VPN -> choose antidadah). The Officer should test the connection
everytime an attempt to establish the antidadah VPN connection using
forticlient is made.)

2.1 BIONADI Desktop PC

2.1.4 AFIS Setup

i) Open the AFIS folder and Install (1) dotnetfx.exe package and .net
ii) After that, install (2) DERMALOG_Licenser.msi
iii) After that install (3) AADK-PDRM Interop Software Package v1.1.msi.
iv) After that, install (4) BIONADI AFIS Client Software Package
v1.8.1.30.msi.
v) After that, please call 03 92896600 on how to activate the licenser.
vi) After that, in the same folder, copy the CallPing.bat and paste it inside
the Startup folder at the Start Menu.

Plug in the fingerprint scanner to the USB port.

Test the software and the fingerprint scanner together by using
your smartcard and also your thumbprint.
Plug in the camera in the USB port and install it

2.2 Notebook Acer 4315

-

The notebook already installed with windows XP pro, Symantec antivirus,

forticlient software and AFIS client software
u need to log in as administrator
username: administrator
password: 123456

Firstly, key in the Windows LAN IP Address for this notebook according to
the desktop LAN configuration. But make sure to give a unique number for
the last column so that it has no conflict with the rest of the desktop/PC
there.

2.2.1 VPN Setup

Open the Forticlient software, configure the software:

1. Click to VPN tab. Make sure you check all the boxes under Option.
Later go to Advanced button edit

Adjust the tripod so that it can station hold the camera still
using the AFIS client software, try to snap a picture.
