LEAVE POLICY The Corporation recognizes the legal and moral obligation of employees who may require absence

from normal or usual work hours/days. These circumstances, as identified below, may require management discretion in granting or extending certain types of leave. erit, reasonableness, travel issues, seriousness, operational requirements, past practice, may contribute to the granting of leave and decision. !eave without pay may also be considered where the Corporation incurs no additional costs or where there is clear benefit to the Corporation. The holiday year in the company runs from " st #anuary to $"st %ecember each year. &f you are in the service of the company you are entitled for ' days of Casual leave, ' days of (ick !eave and ' days of )arned leave. Availing Leave *C+ ,-./ .- )0 follows the policy of 1)arn and -vail2. &f your 3oining date is in the middle of the year, then you will be eligible for proportionate casual and earned leave. 4here in every month 5.6 days of )arned, (ick, Casual leave will be credited to each employee and the employees are supposed to accumulate and avail the leave. !ast month 7 arch, #une, (ep, %ec8 of every quarter " day will be credited instead of 5.6 days respectively. 9ut )mployees 3oining between the quarters will not be eligible to get " day of credit for the respective :uarter. Trainees are eligible to get only one day of leave every month during their probation. General Procedure on Availing Leave )mployees must submit to their (upervisor, 1leave application form2 indicating reasons for and duration of leave. )mployees must also submit monthly time sheet for approval. The (upervisor/ anager must approve all leave prior to the leave taking place. The employee is required to give prior notice to the %epartment ;eads before taking leaves. !eave approvals should be based on operational requirements, merit, reasonableness and past practice. The employee is required to submit the approved <!eave -pplication =orm> with the ;? %epartment. +n approval from the ;? department the leave will be granted. !eave for <%epartment ;eads> are to be approved by @eneral anager and further notified to the ;? %epartment.

!eave applications will only be considered once the employee has $ months of continuous service 7unless otherwise identified8. The employee must ensure that their leave application 7except sick leave8 has been approved before commencing on leave. =ailure to do so will result in !oss of ,ay. &n case of absence because of sickness leave application to be submitted immediately on the day of resumption of duty. Casual Leave -ll employees will be entitled to 8 working days of casual leave. Casual leave can be taken with approval from the respective %epartment ;eads. .otice of casual leave application must reach ;? department A days in advance, and the employee should get it approved before commencing on leave.

-ll employees will be entitled for ' days of sick leave in a calendar year. &f the employee is unable to attend his/ her duties for two continuous days or longer, he/she will be required to produce a registered edical ,ractitioner>s leave C fitness certificates on his/her return to duties. Special Sick Leave Bnused (ick leave upto D6 days will be carried forward to the next year and be considered as (pecial (ick !eave (pecial (ick !eave can be availed if the sick leave is exhausted and this is recommended for ma3or sickness. )mployees availing A consecutive days of (pecial (ick !eave are supposed to submit the edical Certificate.

-ny nonEworking day/days7.ational ;olidays/=estival ;olidays/ 4eek )nds8 falling during the period of special sick leave 7excluding the prefix and suffix8 will be treated as part of your special sick leave. =or example, if you take special sick leave from Thursday to the following 4ednesday, this is regarded as seven days of absence. Bnavailed (ick leave at the end of the service will not be encashed Earned Leave -ll employees will be entitled for ' days of )arned leave in a calendar year. Bnused )arned leave can be carried forward to the next year or it can be encashed by %ecember -ny nonEworking day/days 7.ational ;olidays/=estival ;olidays/ 4eek )nds8 falling during the period of earned leave 7excluding the prefix and suffix8 will be treated as part of your earned leave. =or example, if you take special sick leave from Thursday to the following 4ednesday, this is regarded as seven days of absence. .o )arned leave can be granted in units of half day. Bnavailed earned leave at the end of your service will be paid based on the basic salary last drawn not exceeding to a total of F5 days of earned leave. This is fully taxable. List of Holida s &n a year ten to eleven official holidays will be observed in *C+ ,-./ .- )0. - list of holidays will be circulated at the beginning of the year. -dding to this employee is entitled to avail A days of restricted holidays that can be used during their relevant festivals. Leave !it"out Pa 4ithout pay leave is granted only in exceptional circumstances approved by the %epartment ;ead and only after all annual leave entitlement has been used up. 4eekEends and national holidays in between the leave are included in the calculation of number of days of a#sence as LOP

Co$pensator Leave &n case an employee is required to work on (aturday and (unday, they are eligible for a compensatory leave. -n employee will be eligible for compensatory leave only if he/she had worked F hours on the holiday. Compensatory leave will be provided at the discretion of the respective %epartment ;eads. )mployee is required to get the confirmation from the respective heads and submit it to the ;? the day before working The compensatory leave must be taken within ' weeks from the day, failing which they will be deemed as lapsed. )mployee is requested to avoid taking unplanned !eave. &f employee is taking unplanned leave due to unavoidable circumstances, they are advised to call the reporting anager and inform him of his inability. )mployee who is on leave without informing his supervisor for more than $ days should meet the respective heads and ;? before and give proper reason and apologise before presuming his/her work. &aternit ' Paternit Leave The Corporation believes that the personal obligations of employees who become parents should be respected. To that end, the Corporation provides financial assistance to employees and adequate time off to allow them to combine their personal and professional lives. 4ith these principles in mind *C+ ,-./ .- )0 grants leave to eligible employees for the birth and care of a newEborn child. &aternit Leave =ull time confirmed female employees are eligible for paid maternity leave. &t is granted as a continuous period of ( $ont"s from the date of commencement of the leave. ;alf pay will be made for a period of up to $ months for absence due to maternity )mployee is requested to submit a request for maternity leave atleast one month before taking leave )mployee is requested to submit the medical certificate and the necessary documents upon 3oining. Paternit Leave =or the biological father taking ,aternity !eave, up to 6 %ays of leave is provided for the purpose of providing care for his newborn child. This leave is requested to be availed within $ months of babyGs birth and can be availed in splits.
