Antenna System and Feeders Installation

in this section. The Mini-Link system installation will be described further in different section.

PS: The installation of the GSM antennas and feeders will be described

These are the Th th steps t that th t are to t be b followed: f ll d 1- Connecting the jumpers into the X polarized antennas (2 jumpers in each antenna). antenna) 2- If theres any mechanical down tilting on the antenna, the upper base will be calibrated to get the tilting angle. If upper tilt, the lower base will be calibrated. 3- Lifting the antennas up to their positions on the brackets. 4 Positioning 4P iti i the th antennas t and d tighten ti ht the th screws of f both b th up and d down bases in the correct direction (azimuth). 5- Connecting the feeders into the jumpers (upper part). 5 part) 6- Tightening the feeders to the steps and the ladders and routing them properly to the shelter. 7- Earthing the feeders and marking them. A.HAMMOUD 15 8- Connecting the feeders into the jumpers (lower part).

Antenna bracket

Down base

The direction or the azimuth of each antenna will be mentioned in the site binder, so a compass is used to get some reference point on the same direction of the antenna in order to put it in the exact direction. And then, the screws of both down and upper bases will be tightened on the antenna A.HAMMOUD 17 metal support.

Site Build form example

Antenna Tilting

If theres a mechanical down tilt, the upper support (tilt kit) should be calibrated on the ground before fixing the antenna according to a table. If theres a mechanical up tilt, the lower base (tilt kit) should be calibrated. If theres an electrical tilt. A screw on the lower side of A.HAMMOUD the antenna is manipulated to get the demanded angle.
