Story Development

We start with an empty snow scape, mountains included (this is in a snow globe but isnt revealed until later). Ahnah skis across the shot, as the audience we follow her route, here she is depicted as care free and having fun. It isnt until she loses control and has to dodge a tree (this is a prop but Ahnah is unaware of this for the moment) that we see she can be clumsy. She has fallen over and whilst lying on her back she looks to the sky and discovers that the clouds are attached to rope, realizing that that her surroundings are fake she assumes that the trees are props also. She picks up a tree prop and tries to use this to break free from her world, hitting it against the surface of the snow globe that contains her. After this fails she attempts to break free by diving through the air with ski poles as her weapon. She completely misses the surface and face plants the snow, from here we can tell she is determined and eager to be free and discover, regardless of her safety.

The Treatment

The Treatment
As her second attempt fails also, Dyna-Mike discovers that he too can exit his world (a comic book), however this is done with much more ease as he climbs out of the panel. He sees Ahnah and is transfixed by her beauty, and that she is in need of assistance. Using his main weapons; dynamite, he explodes the snow globe that contained her and catches her as she falls through the air and into his arms. A moment of embarrassment and excitement is mutual between them before DynaMike accidently drops her. Here we understand different sides of Dyna-Mike, such as his heroic, bravado side of how he feels he needs to help a damsel in distress. However, we see his weakness around Ahnah as he is mesmerized by her beauty causing him to be clumsy. After Dyna-Mike helps Ahnah to her feet they run together and halt suddenly to discover that they have another barrier to break through to become free. It is also at this point that we learn they share the same dream of freedom.

The Step Outline 1 - Ahnah skis down the slope, darting left
to right. 2 - Ahnah loses control of her skis and dodges a tree, resulting in her falling over. 3 - Whilst lying on her back she looks up to discover the clouds are fake. 4 - Ahnah gets up from the snow and knocks on the surface of the snow globe. 5 - Ahnah walks up the slope to get a tree prop. 6 - Ahnah uses the tree prop to try and smash the snow globe surface but fails. 7 - As a second attempt Ahnah uses ski poles to break free, diving through the air. 8 - Ahnah face plants the snow. 9 - Dyna-Mike climbs out of a comic book panel.

10 - Ahnah looks at Dyna-Mike. 11 - Dyna-Mike rolls a a stick of dynamite in front of the snow globe. 12 - Dyna-Mike runs from the about-to-be explosion. 13 - The snow globe is exploded. 14 - Ahnah falls through the air. 15 - Dyna-Mike catches Ahnah in his arms. 16 - Dyna-Mike accidently drops Ahnah. 17 - Dyna-Mike helps Ahnah to her feet. 18 - Dyna-Mike and Ahnah run together and halt suddenly.

The Premise and Logline

Would you break free form the world you know? An Eskimo is determined to break free upon discovering her world is not what it seems.

Name: Michael Ashcroft (Dyna-Mike) Age: 26 Height: 6ft 3 Weight: 79kg Eye Colour: Blue Hair Colour: Black Location: Britain Occupation: Hero/Crime fighter Back Story: Believed to be from a Latino or
mixed culture origin. Michael Ashcroft was ditched on the doorstep of Lord Ashcrofts Manor. Lord Ashcroft took him in and treated him as his son, they trained together and created Dyna-Mike.
