THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He indwells the believer (Ephesians 5:18), He is our helper (John 16:7), and He seals us unto the day of our redemption (Ephesians 4:30). The Holy Spirit is never to be referred to as a power or force. The ministry of the Holy Spirit may be summed up as dispensing spiritual gifts to every believer and then helping them to develop the gifts for the building up of the saints and the edifying of the Body of Christ. Traits and Works of the Holy Spirit 1. He intercedes for the praying believer - Romans 8:27 2. He wills who gets what spiritual gifts - 1 Corinthians 12:11 3. He searches both the depths of God and the human spirit - 1 Corinthians 2:10 4. The Holy Spirit may disallow a ministry in a certain area - Acts 16:6-7 5.
