1. TENDER DRAWINGS: TENDER drawings of proposed pipelines are listed below. 2. CONTRACTORS DETAILED DRAWINGS a) Should the Contractor require further drawings that may be necessary for the execution of the Works he shall when instructed by the Engineer prepare and submit such detailed drawings with adequate notes in writing for the approval of the Engineer The Engineer may within a reasonable period approve, amend or change these drawings or may require the Contractor to produce amended drawings. No drawing shall be valid unless it is approved and signed by the Engineer but any approval of drawings shall not relieve the Contractor of any of his obligations under the CONTRACT. All drawings shall be produced on computer using AutoCAD or similar approved software. These shall be submitted to the Engineer at the end of the Works and to the Engineer as the Works proceed.

3. C ONTRACTORS CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS: Contractor shall include in his rates the submittal of construction drawings required for the construction of the work. Vertical profile of the pipelines shall be prepared by the Contractor at his own cost and upon the request of the Engineer and before the respective part of the work is put in hand. The Contractor shall furnish the Engineer free of charge three copies for his approval. The Contractor shall continue to re-submit drawings and other information until the Engineer's approval is obtained 4. RECORD DRAWINGS a) The Contractor shall keep accurate record drawings of the arrangement longitudinal sections, positions and details of all works constructed by him. These drawings (1: 1000 scale) to be in the forms approved by the Engineer and are to QGEWC G.I.S specification (Version 1.3) and shall be prepared as the work proceeds on computer using AutoCAD or similar approved software by an approved Sub- Contractor. As soon as each drawing has been completed, three prints shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval. If the drawings or documents are not approved, one copy shall be returned to the Contractor with Engineers remarks and required alteration required Upon final approval one copy of the drawing or document shall be stamped Approved by the Engineer and returned to the Contractor forthwith. After such approval is given, the Contractor shall supply to the Engineer the original drawing on disk together with one negative and four paper prints of each drawing. Page 3 of 6

All record drawings shall be completed prior to issue of the substantial completion certificate for the works. The Contractor shall accurately locate by co-ordinates to the Qatar National Grid, the center of all chamber covers set in position or adjusted under this project. The Contractor shall also locate by coordinates the position of all buried bends and fittings on pipelines and ducts. Service connection route to be also located. The execution of the survey works and recording of the data shall comply with the following: i) ii) iii) The location coordinates shall be accurate to with + 0.1m. The survey shall be based on Qatar National Local Grid survey control points. The coordinates shall be determined by radial (polar) observations using theodolite and electronic distance (EDM) equipment. The coordinates shall be checked by independent methods and error shown to be within the acceptable limits. If required, additional controls points may be established on a temporary basis (e.g. nail in tarmac). Observations for additional control points shall consist of at least two rounds of angles (on two faces) with a different zero setting for each round. Distances where applicable shall be determined by trigonometric methods rather than by leveling and at least two rounds of vertical angles (on two faces) shall be observed The positions of additional control points shall be determined by reference to not less than three Qatar national Local Grid survey control points and shall be proved to have standard errors no greater than plus or minus 0.08 meters. On completion of work, all observations, computations, sketches and any other documentation used in determining the coordinates shall be submitted to the Engineer. A daily log giving the number of additional control stations and chamber covers be maintained and submitted. A comprehensive report on the work carried out including methods used, problems encountered, solutions used and a full summary of the results shall be submitted. All survey work shall be carried out by suitably qualified and experienced surveyors approved by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Survey Section. WND to be notified of the survey company name before commencing work. The approved company shall coordinate with WND project Engineer as works proceed and to get the approval on survey work completed on a weekly basis.
