Ethics Approval Form - Students


This form should be completed by the student and passed to the supervisor prior to a review of the possible ethical implications of the proposed dissertation or project. No primary data collection can be undertaken before the supervisor has approved the plan. If, following review of this form, amendments to the proposals are agreed to be necessary, the student should provide the supervisor with an amended version for endorsement. The final signed and dated version of this form must be handed in with the dissertation. Failure to provide a signed and dated form on hand-in will be treated as if the dissertation itself was not submitted. 1. What are the objectives of the dissertation research project! The paper will study the relationship between monetary compensation and employee satisfaction in the "#$ industry. The purpose of the primary data is to find out the attitude of the employees toward the financial compensation and find out how far these financial compensations help them being satisfied in their wor%

8. What steps are proposed to ensure that the re1uirements of informed consent will be met for those ta%ing part in the research! If an Information "heet for participants is to be used, please attach it to this form. If not, please e0plain how you will be able to demonstrate that informed consent has been gained from participants. The paper shall not at any case reveal the name of any respondents. In fact, the survey shall be done anonymously so that the secret of each individual respondent are %ept. 9lus, no aggressive 1uestions are e0pected to be as%ed during the survey which might hurt individual impression of an employee. Thus the informed consent will be gained from the respondents of the survey.

(ata will be stored in a computer spreadsheet program and at the end of the research it is e0pected that a stable model depicting the relation between financial compensations and employee satisfaction will be developed to help managers in determining steps to ta%e in order to satisfy their employees.

11. .ow will confidentiality be assured for respondents! The survey will be conducted on a totally random basis and no name, address or other indentifying factors will be collected from the employees so that their anonymity is %ept
