Dear Presidents: Subject: EFNR Newsletter 2013/1

Dear All, First of all we want to wish all our friends in EFNRS a happy and successful new year. We were delighted by the interest shown in our business meeting during the WFNR world congress in Melbourne last year. During this meeting the most important topics raised were related to bylaws, further administrative organization, continuous education and our next European congress. We were fully aware of and have stated the importance of a well-functioning administrative office. Regarding this we have had carried on correspondence with EFNS concerning time and room sharing of their office. In principle consent the return of payment for rent was given. Due to the lack of budget and sponsoring, it wasnt possible for EFNRS to sign such a contract for the time being. We are very grateful to our friend Dafin Muresanu who has generously provided the secretarial assistance through the SSNN office for EFNRS. In the meantime the office is beautifully managed by his co-worker Ovidiu Selejan. The principal task of this secretarial office is to ease communication between members. In addition bimonthly short information newsletters are going to be distributed by mail. The managing board will submit a proposal for the future working agenda soon and we intend to pursue this in the form of a monthly newsletter. So far no further input concerning constitution and bylaws has reached us. Therefore the version introduced in Melbourne and valid at present will be distributed with our next mail. Since bylaws determine only framework conditions of the day by day work for internal regulations are being worked out for activities on the board and other levels of our organization. Great value was set upon organization of our next European congress. Despite the paucity of organizing time, Dafin Muresanu in Melbourne has taken on the hard job to organize the next ECNR in Bucharest during June 2013. The First announcement was distributed at the end of last year. A grid for the program has been prepared by Volker Hoemberg. The present state of the program can be seen on the web (www.ECNR2013.com). The official Call for papers will follow in a few days, with a deadline for abstract submission ending on March 31. Please, feel free to hand in suggestion concerning workshops and symposia for the Bucharest meeting, on Volkers email (mueller-hoemberg@t-online.de).

Continuous education in neurorehabilitation is a particular matter of interest for EFNRS as you know. The content of a corresponding curriculum has been presented repeatedly. The first modules were carried out during the last years. The next Pan European teaching course will be organized by Dafin Muresanu embedded into the ECNR programme in Bucharest. Application for the course will be issued in parallel to the ECNR Call for papers and posted on the ECNR website. Finally, the next EFNRS general meeting is planned during the ECNR in Bucharest. If you have any further questions or suggestions, please dont hesitate to contact us at info@efnr.org the board via our secretary Ovidiu Selejan [ovidius@ssnn.ro] or directly on our emails.

Kind regards,

Heinrich Binder
