Concert 3 of the 1st Annual COLLABORATIVE CONCERT SERIES: Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 4:00pm in the WRIGHT CENTER at Samford University, the Senior Choristers of the BBC will share the stage with the world-famous TRACES OF BLUE vocal jazz ensemble! We would be honored to have your attendance. To that end, we have set aside a block of tickets for our Chelsea Choristers and their families. Tickets are $10 each, but for the 1st 50 callers, we will provide complimentary tickets for Chelsea Satellite Ensemble Choristers and their families. AD SALES: The BBC has three (3) fund-raising opportunities. In the fall, we sell poinsettias. In the summer, we present the annual TASTE of BIRMINGHAM event. (www.thetasteofbirmingham.com) Throughout the year, we sell ads for our annual Advertisement booklet. All three of these fund-raisers contribute to our General Operating Budget, but the AD SALES also contribute directly to the choristers Travel Fund. The Senior Choristers represent our fair city in the odd-numbered years on a Concert Tour to various parts of our country and the world. In June, 2015, the Tour Choir of the BBC will travel to the Czech Republic at the invitation of our Sister City, Pilzen. Senior Choristers have the option to take part in this tour. Heres how it works. Each year, when a boy sells ads for the Ad Booklet, the 1st $100 of Ad Sales goes to the General Operating budget of the BBC. After that, 75% of all ad sales will go directly into that choristers Tour Fund. This fund can accrue for multiple years. Every tour we have a certain number of boys who get some or even ALL of their tour costs covered by their Ad Sales! If your son is too young for the 2015 tour, he will perhaps be ready in 2017 or 2019! If you need additional info, please contact Susan Simon (767-9219). As is the case with most things, the earlier the start, the more successful the endeavor! 3. BLUE CARD STORE: Ken will need some parental help for the BLUE CARD store. If you would be available to help set it up and serve as a sales associate, please email Ken and we will get this up and running. Our 1st store is Monday, Feb. 24!! 4. T-SHIRT sizes, please: most of you have already turned in your sons T-Shirt size. If you havent had a chance to do that yet, please do so by Monday.

5. PARENT MONITORS: In all of our rehearsals across the city we find it very helpful to have Parent Monitors actually in the rehearsal. This allows the parent to observe the boys (and the teacher) and also
