Plant Cell Model

CATEGORY Creativity 4 ADVANCED Use of materials was exceptionally unique and innovative. No store-bought model was used. Cell was colorful and vibrant. Appropriate materials used to represent components. Cell model was 3D, including all of its components. 3 PROFICIENT Use of materials was creative. Effort was seen on creativity. Storebought model was not used. Cell was colorful. Effort was seen on appropriate materials to represent components of the cell. Cell model was 3D. 2 SATISFACTORY Use of materials was enough to create a model but was not creative or unique. Store-bought model was not used. Cell was not as colorful as it could be. Use of materials needed improvement in representing certain structures. Cell model was 3D, but some structures were hand drawn. 1 MINIMAL No effort or creativity was apparent, and/or use of a storebought model. Lacked color. Use of appropriate materials needed drastic improvement to represent certain structures. Cell model was 3D and/or contained multiple structures that were hand drawn. Cell model lacked any neatness, and had many materials falling off. Labels were not legible. Model was larger than 10x10 More than 2 required organelles that were listed in the instructions were not included. More than 2 inaccurate labels assigned to the organelles. Organelles were not identifiable without the labels.

Neatness

Cell model was exceptionally clean and neat, with no materials falling off. Labels were easily legible. Model was no larger than 10x10 Cell was an outstanding accurate model of a plant cell. All required organelles that were listed in the instructions were included. Accurate labels were assigned to the organelles. Organelles were easily identifiable, even without the use of labels.

Accuracy

Cell model was clean and neat, with no materials falling off. Labels were legible, but could use more improvement. Model was no larger than 10x10 Cell was a good representation of a plant cell. All required organelles that were listed in the instructions were included. Accurate labels were assigned to the organelles. Organelles were identifiable with the labels.

Cell model was not as neat as it could be, with some materials falling off. Labels were messy or needed effort from the grader to read. Model was no larger than 10x10

Some (1-2) required organelles that were listed in the instructions were not included. One to two inaccurate labels assigned to the organelles. Organelles needed identification assistance with the labels.
