(Topic 1) "ssay #fter high school graduation, it is now high time for every$ody to find directions for our lives. %n my country, all students will attend an entrance examination to get admission to a university or college. %n other words, universities and colleges are the num$er one choice of students. %n my opinion, there are two reasons to explain this fact& They want to prepare for career and satisfy their family. 'irstly, students attend college or university to prepare for career. These good places can help them learn things necessary for future (o$s. 'or example, throughout courses, which re)uire them to study alone or in groups, students will learn ma(or knowledge and skills such as reading, presentation, team work etc. %n addition, there are chances like internships from which, they will $e more familiar and experienced with (o$s, they have a *feeling+ of them. ,ore importantly, $y getting along with people, a student will develop close relationships with other students or professors. %n the future, they may help his or her in (o$ as well as normal live. -econdly, in my country, students also attend college or university to satisfy their families. Traditionally, people always think that going to those educational $ases is the only way to find (o$s and have a $etter live. Therefore, students are often put under heavy pressure and demand to pass the exam. 'urthermore, failure in the exam is e)uivalent to a $ig shame to the whole family. #s a conse)uence, youngsters have no way except for trying their $est to get into a university or college. .n the other hand, children in /ietnam are dependent on their parents. 'rom childhood up to adolescence, parents often think they are lack of a$ilities to decide well in any situation0 therefore, they do not direct them to do so. The result is, /ietnamese teenagers do not dare to $e responsi$le for their own decisions, they feel that it is easier and safer to follow parents1 instructions, even when applying for a university. %t can $e said that they attend the exam to please parents. %n summary, people go to college or university for many reasons. %n my country, two of the most popular ones are to prepare for career and to meet parents1 expectation. Those reasons will $ecome motivations to help them study well,
