Introduction In this project we where asked to place monograms and then we where to make type sketches of our own monagrams.
RESEARCH I found that looking for the monagrames was a little hard at first. I typed in a lot of diferent monagrame web pages and looked at the image pages.

When drawing the thumbnails, the sketches were easy but the placement was hard. The bold font suited me better and using a thinner type next to the bold A created an interesting balance. Playing thick and thin lettering gave each variety and goes with my personality. I found I like the A being bold and the P thin.

E X P L O R AT I O N I was finding it a little hard to creat a really good idea, but I think that there is a lot of potentiale in what I have sketched. Im pretty exited about a couple of these sketches. there was a lot of good potential. A N A LY I S I S

In this project I was asked to do digital sketches of my three top monograms. Then to pick the one that I liked the most and do a little refinement and then post that as my finale.
RESEARCH When I was working on this project I fond that it was helpful to ask people what there opinion was on my work. What they thought was visually appealing and if there was anything that they would change. I think that was really fun. To hear what people where thinking. E X P L O R AT I O N

seizures to cut off what I didnt need. Then I it helps to join the places that you cut so that there are no lose ends. I think that that will come in really handy it is a good skill to have.

A N A LY S I S In the end of this project I realized that I there was some fonts that I dint wasnt to use and that would look better another way so I did some changes and I found that I like them a little batter. Also I changed the color on my finale to see if that would give it some variety and if that would have a good visual pace. I like it but Im not sure how it will work, and if it is what I want.

This was really fun to put on the computer and try to match up the fonts that I used in my sketching. Also I fond that I needed to do a little cutting to take parts of the letter (P) off so that it would work for my design. that was something that I have never done before. The steps that I used to cut the (P) where as fallows I created the letter into a outlined path and then I used the

A N A LY S I S I really enjoyed the computer sketches thy were really fun. I felt that it was important to use the principles of alignment and scale along with having a good flow around the page.

In this project we where asked to do tow things first make sketches of how we wanted to place our monogram and our contact information on a business letterhead. Also we were to do computerized sketches of the three that we liked the most.
RESEARCH I went and looked up different stationary on stationaryaiag.com and then I also looked at other sites that dealt with stationary. E X P L O R AT I O N Even though I looked up a couple different sites when it came down to the actual computer sketches I found that alignment was something that really helped me. There was a lot of really good ideas that I found but just the same I ended up changing my computer sketches a few different times.

In this assignment we where asked to take our digitalized monograms and place them on the actual paper sizes that would fit for true stationary.
RESERCH After presenting my monograms/stationary to prophesier Franson. He said that I needed to move my monogram away form the corner and experiment with it a little more. Along with that I should do a better job at aligning. He said that it is hard to align with a curved edge. E X P L O R AT I O N With the time that I had I went and tried a couple of different things in regards to the placement of the monogram and aligning the words with it. After trying that I decided that I should go back to the corner and just change the opacity of the monogram and place it in the background of the letters and align the type over the top of the monogram. A N A LY S I S I really like the way it turned out. I felt like I aligned every thing ok. When it comes to the monogram in the background I think that it adds a little verity and visual weight. I think that that will

not always work out but I like how it looks in this stationary. I really like the monogram on the back of the card. Also the repetitive saturation through out the stationary.

In this project we where to create a monogram. This monogram was to be designed well enough that we could use it as if we where really creating a

business. As well we designed stationary is important to keep notes of different using the monogram along with contact experiences, and the steps that you information. To get to the point where we felt comfortable with our monogram we had to doo multiple sketches and looking up other font faces to help us brainstorm and to build the structure of out monogram. A couple of thing that I learned/ reminded of as I worked on this project. First, that even though what you create
