Tenses - Kaal
In English language Tense plays an important role in sentence formation.Tense of a statement shows (a) the time of an action, (b) its degree of completeness. The verb may describe: 1 That an action is done at the Present time; as'I think about you'. 2 That an action is done in the Past time; as'I thought about you'. 3 That an action will be done in the Future time; as'I shall think about you' Thus'Verb' is a key factor to recognize Tense. A verb has three times or three Tenses the Present Tense, the Past Tense and the Future Tense.

English main tenses (kaal) ka bahut mahatvapurn roll hai. Kaal bataata hai (a) Kriya ka samay, (b) Kriya kee purnata kee sthitee. Kriya vyakhya karti hai: 1 Kaarya vartmaan kaal main sampan hua hai; jaisay'Main tumharay baaray main sochta hoon'. 2 Kaarya bhoot kaal main sampan hua hai; jaisay'Mainay tumharay baaray main socha'. 3 Kaarya bhavishya kaal main sampan hua hai; jaisay'Main tumharay baaray main sochunga'. Isliye Kriya kaal ko pehchannay kee kunji hai. Kriya kay teen Kaal hai Vartmaan Kaal, Bhoot Kaal aur Bhavishya Kaal.
As per state of an action (Verb), each tenses are divided into four parts- Indefinite/Simple Tense, Continuous Tense, Perfect Tense and Perfect Continuous Tense 1 Indefinite/Simple Tense which denotes its simplest form; as'I think','I thought','I shall think'. 2 Continuous Tense which denotes that the event is still continuing or not completed so far; as'I am thinking' ,'I was thinking','I shall be thinking'. 3 Perfect Tense which denotes that the event is in a completed or perfect state; as'I have thought','I had thought','I shall have thought'.

4 Perfect Continuous Tense which denotes a time since when the event is continuing ; as'I have been thinking since morning','I had been thinking since morning','I shall have been thinking since morning'.

Kriya kee purnata kee sthitee kay anusaar, har Kaal ko char bhago main baanta gaya hai Samanya Kaal, Apurn Kaal, Purn Kaal aur Purn Nirantar Kaal 1 Indefinite/Simple Samanya Kaal Jo bataata hai kee karya ekdum samanya hua hai; jaisay'Main sochta hoon','Mainay socha','Main sochunga'. 2 Continuous Tense Apurn Kaal Jo bataata hai kee karya jaari hai ya abhi purn nahi hua hai; jaisay'Main soch raha hoon','Main soch raha tha','Main soch raha hoonga'. 3 Perfect Tense Purn Kaal Jo bataata hai kee karya purn ho chukka hai; jaise 'Mainay soch liya hai','Mainay soch liya tha','Mainay soch liya hoga'. 4 Perfect Continuous Tense Purn Nirantar Kaal Jo bataata hai kee karya ek diye samay sey jaari hai; jaisay'Main subah sey soch raha hoon','Main subah sey soch raha tha','Main subah sey soch raha hoonga'.
Each type of tenses has following four types of sentences: 1. 2. 3. 4. Positive Sentence; Negative Sentence; Interrogative Sentence; and Interrogative & Negative Sentence.

There are three forms of Verb. Different form of verb and different rules are used for making all types of sentences in each Tense.
