Steps for voting against TMIs PGSE Step 1: Fill out the Beneficiary Roll Application form This

his is a TMI form and can be downloaded from the website: http://www.tmi.maori.nz/Documents/index.aspx Tick no. 1 when you get to Section 6 this means that you do not wish to register with TMI and go on their permanent database. (You will go on to a temporary database set up over the voting process, and your information will be destroyed after the 90 day timeframe). You will need to fill out the whole form. TMI will not be able to tell whether you are voting for or against the interim PGSE. ALL votes will have been managed by the Electoral office. Step 2: Where we sign our signature is the clause: "I declare that the information provided in this application is true and correct. Pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993, the information will be used at the discretion of Tanenuiarangi Manawatu Incorporated".

Cross out the above highlighted second sentence pertaining to Tanenuiarangi Manawatu Incorporated, by drawing a line through it before sending off. (We were informed at the ratification meeting last night in Hamilton that we are able to do this).

Step 3: Photocopy your filled in Beneficiary Roll Application form and keep in a safe place, along with all of your whanaus completed forms.

Step 4: Send original form to the Electoral Office, at the following address:

Dale Ofsoske Independent Election Services Ltd P.O. Box 5135 Wellesley St Auckland 1141 They have assured us that they will note the name of every person who sends in their form. They, by law, have to send that Beneficiary Roll Application form to TMI. TMI have to register details on the temporary database. Please note that (as with ALL elections) one has to register to vote or the vote is null and void. Step 5: Ring (0800 922 822) or email the Electoral office and ask for their voting documents (voting form and Ratification booklet). They will be sent out to each individual. We can then either vote: via post using the same address as above via the internet or by attending the hui (11 March) and vote via ballot box. Hui is at Kingsgate Hotel on the 11th March, 6pm. Danielle Harris will be talking.
