Marketing Account Executive - Churchill China
Currently working in a graduate marketing role at Churchill China; one of the
world's leading manufacturers and international distributors of ceramic and
table related products.

Role involved the management of NPD projects in the retail and hotel market
sectors;
• Product design; working with the customer to create a product
specification before liaising between the customer and Churchill’s in-
house design team to ensure the product design phase is successful.
• Costing; assessing the commercial viability of the product range and
forecast expected demand over the upcoming seasons using existing
product profiles and market trends.
• Sourcing; critiquing product samples and identifying any necessary
amendments before bulk production.
• Promotion; working alongside in-house design team to develop the
brochure lay-out, online content and exhibition material following
successful NPD.

Marketing at Churchill requires an acute attention to detail, strong


communication skills, as well as an in-depth understanding of the market
requirements from a diverse range of clientele taking into account seasonal
trends and product life cycles. The role has provided in depth experience of
project management and customer account management as well as
procurement and supply and logistics functions.

Marketing Assistant - Dawson Design
Placement at a design and marketing agency during gap year from university.

Role's included;
• Creating content; producing written content for Dawson
Design’s website / blog and creating and uploading website and e-shot
content for clients.
• Managing Dawson Design’s search engine position; using web tools
such as Google analytics, keywords, link building and creating and
editing website content to increase exposure of the business.
• Provided assistance to the design team in the creation of; website
design and management, exhibition stands, business cards, letter
heads and brand logo creations, for a diverse range of clientele.

This placement at Dawson Design provided an insight into the web based
marketing and design industry.

Project Assistant - SurfControl
Role undertaken during summer before enrolling at university

Primary role involved co-coordinating the migration of information from an


existing CRM system to a new system. This involved delegating to others as
well as undertaking; the cleansing of existing information, the creation of
appropriate fields in the new system and running tests of the new system with
the end users. The project required ongoing communication with management
in the UK and US offices to ensure the new system allowed sales and technical
support to access information efficiently.

Following the completion of data migration took on a role answering and


logging calls, processing sales orders and general management of data.

The role at SurfControl provided training within CRM systems, demonstrates a


willingness to use new IT systems. The role required strong organisation and
communication skills and the ability to work within a changing business
environment.
