After life, the universe and everything has been created, what's a doodling god to do? Make a kingdom of magic! New from JoyBits comes Doodle Kingdom, a follow-up to the Doodle God series that takes the puzzle-driven alchemy formula to a more fictional level. Instead of tooling around with fire, earth and water, you get to use magic to create a world of fantasy creatures, one element at a time! The basic goal behind Doodle Kingdom is the same as Doodle God: keep combining basic elements to form more complex ones. Tap a category on the left side of the screen, then tap one of the elements that appear. Do the same for the right side and the game will attempt to combine the two. If it works, you get a new element! The more elements there are the more combinations are available, meaning you'll do a lot of experimenting to see what odd things you can craft. Microtransactions in Doodle Kingdom step a toe over the line of acceptability. The in-game currency is gems that can be spent on hints and unlockable features, most of which only last for 24 hours. You can refill these via an inapp purchase, and the shocking thing is there are packs that sell for an upwards of 100 USD. Call us mad, but that seems like overkill for a game that

already carries a multi-dollar price tag. Persistence outflanks IAPs, so stick with it and you won't have to go broke to beat the game. The presentation and interface in Doodle Kingdom are both superb, and it's great to see some extra creativity injected through the use of a fantasy setting. Later on, you even get to raise dragons, complete quests and engage in combat sequences! The JoyBits team has refined their skills over the course of the Doodle God games, and that experience shows in Doodle Kingdom. With over 115 elements to discover divided between 13 unique groups, you won't be in need of a good coffee break game any time soon. Also available on Windows 8, Windows Phone, Mac App Store, BlackBerry.

Hide Spoiler General Information Hide Spoiler From the Main Menu, you can Play the game, view the Credits, other games in the series, change your Options, and access your Achievements. Options include playing Sound, Music, Voice or not; getting Notification and Bonuses, or not; logging in to Facebook or Twitter; and your choice of language for playing the game. If you choose to check Getting Bonuses, you will have to agree with their request to send Push Notifications so read carefully before agreeing to something you may or may not want. From Options, you can also view the Credits by tapping the heart below the options, and you can return to the previous screen via the arrow. Tapping Play will send you to the Daily Bonus where get to collect a reward each day that you play the game, which includes Elements and Crystals, and other Super-prizes. Be sure to take advantage of it and get your reward. Once you have collected your first reward, you will be taken to a screen that says Game Modes and Quests which list several places with objectives on the Quest side of the screen that you haven't been able to achieve.

There are 3 Game Modes: Genesis, Quests, and My Hero. In Genesis, you find a Brave New World of Magic where you combine elements to create new elements so it is actually your first quest. There are 3 more Quests you will unlock as soon as you discover the necessary items to make that happen: The Return of the King requires a castle that you will return to prosperity; The Necromancer's Uprising needs a Necromomicron in order to defile flowering lands; and you can't find out How to Train your Dragon until you find a dragon so that you can breed and raise 4 different types of Dragons. For My Hero, you send your knight on a combat adventure, complete with monsters to slay, for which you can buy him various protective equipment for his journey, including potions to restore his health and energy should some of his opponents get the best of him. Don't forget to collect your Daily Bonus of Crystals and other prizes each day that you play the game. The game also has in-app purchases, such as Crystals that are available for real US Dollars should you decide you wish to avail yourself of them. Achievements Hide Spoiler There are 16 Achievements you can unlock: Adventurer, Creator, Divine Hero, Shopper, Follower, Reviewer, Unknown Hero, Vagabond, Quest complete, Spell Master, Bestiary, Knight, Shopping addicted, Unstoppable, Lord of the elements, and Urbanizer. You view your Achievements from the Main Menu by selecting the trophy in the lower right corner of the screen. On the Achievements screen, you can reset them by selecting the circular arrow once you have achieved one. You can also choose the divided square icon to connect to the Game Center. My Hero Hide Spoiler Navigation Hide Spoiler The top of the screen shows your resources in Gold and Crystals, and by selecting the " " sign, you can increase your supply. You can buy 200, 500, 1000, 2000, or 5000 Gold for half the number of Crystals, for example, 200 Gold will cost you 100 Crystals. Buying Crystals will cost you the real $$$. The two meters in the upper left corner of the framed screen, indicate your hero's health and energy, and the corresponding bottles at the bottom are the potions to restore them. When he runs out of energy or health, he will automatically drink a potion from either the red or blue bottle situated on

the frame so you will want to make sure you have extra potions available. Additional potions can be purchased for Gold: 30 Gold for more health, and 50 Gold for more energy. The blue running button will start him on his journey, so pick up Gold, kill the enemies, and look out for those who want to steal your Gold. He will fight on his own until he needs your help. Hero Quests Hide Spoiler By selecting the banner icon at the bottom of the screen, you have your choice of quests for which the Hero will receive rewards and potions. Gold Fever: He has to find 200 Gold. Kill, Hero, Kill: He needs to kill 80 enemies. Focused Killer: He must kill a Warg 10 times. Run, Hero, Run: He needs to run 800 meters. Unstoppable: He must run 800, presumably meters, without stopping. Hero Equipment Hide Spoiler Basic Hide Spoiler By selecting the bag icon at the bottom of the screen, you can make purchases for the Hero. You start out with No Helmet because some heroes refuse to wear a helmet so they don't mess up their hair. A Hood keeps his ears warmer which allows him to run longer. You begin with Light Armor which doesn't reduce your mobility, but it also doesn't give protection against your enemies. At least he does start out with a Shield, even if it is Wooden. His first sword is a Rusty Sword because it's sort of a beginning hero tradition. Your next step is to make him stronger by upgrading to better equipment. Helmets Hide Spoiler In order to acquire the God Mode Helmet, Level 5 is required as it also is for the Rough Helmet. The God Mode Helmet will cost you 5000 Crystals and the Rough Helmet is 800 Gold. If you want a Hi-Tech Helmet, Level 8 is required and costs 1500 Gold. A Steel Helmet costs 2500 Gold and requires Level 9.

The Northern Helmet requires Level 10 and costs 3000 Gold. The Skull Helmet requires Level 15 plus 5000 Gold. Armor Hide Spoiler For greater protection, you can equip him with Steel Armor which requires Level 10 and 2000 Crystals. Shields Hide Spoiler For a Bronze Shield, Level 4 is required and 500 Gold. Level 7 is required plus 1200 Gold for a Steel Shield. The Mythril Shield requires 8000 Gold and Level 13. The Aegis Shield for 1000 Crystals not only provides some magical protection but also increases his health. For 2000 Crystals, the Shield of Terror will cause weak monsters to run off when they see him coming so that one is a time saver. Swords Hide Spoiler We definitely need to do something about his sword so Level 1 is required to get him an Iron Sword for 200 Gold. A Silver Sword required 1000 Gold and Level 6. For 5000 Gold and Level 8, you can get him a Mythril Sword. Level 15 and 10000 Gold are required for a Meteorite Sword. The Sword of Light is notable because it not only fantastic and it emits light, but it will cost you 1000 Crystals to get your hands on it.

Genesis: The Brave New World Hide Spoiler Navigation Hide Spoiler Tap Genesis to begin your Brave New World of Magic in which there are 13 groups of Elements and 116 individual Elements to ultimately end up with on your list. To begin with, you will encounter 6 Elements in 3 groups with 3 of the same Elements on the left side of the page, and the same ones on the right side of the page. At the bottom of the screen, there is a close icon or back arrow, light bulbs, a cart, a link to your Achievements, and an icon for the help screen as to how to play. The object is to expand the groups, combine two elements and create a new element in order to build your own Universe. The light bulbs concern Hints which show you elements that

could be created, but then you shouldn't need hints if you read what is written in our walkthrough guide. The shopping cart is for you to use if you want to buy hints: 10 for 150 Crystals, etc. on up. In order to create a new element, you need to open a Group from the left side of the screen and another Group from the right side of the screen, so begin by opening the top left and middle right. You begin with the groups of Earth, a combination of Air and Fire, and Water. When you tap Earth on the top left, you get a choice of Flatlands, Mountains, and Sky for your first combination, while the right middle Air and Fire group choices are Life and Magic. Combine Flatlands and Life to get Beast, Forest, and Humans as new elements so that you now have a choice of combining Humans with Beasts, Flatlands, Forest, Mountains, and Sky. When you have created a new element, tap the back arrow to be able to continue the combination process. Each time you create a new Element, you will get a quotation to read from a historical figure.

If you've found any elements that aren't listed in the walkthrough, please feel free to share. I know I'm missing one in two of the Quests because I completed the Quests and the game didn't want to let me find them. :(
