GUIDELINES FOR THE 2012 ATENEO LAW SCHOOL YEARBOOK WRITE-UP

Your entire law school life will be summarized and sealed into this yearbook, how do you want to be remembered? Your write-up will be the short story that will encapsulate your years at the Ateneo Law School. Transform your distinct personality and law school experiences into a creative write-up that you will not regret looking back to years from now. Dont fall into clichs and dont settle for bland adjectives like good, kind or even friendly. Dont cram your work either because you will risk having a mediocre write-up if you do. Avoid writing things that you may eventually find embarrassing or regretful.1

1. The write-up should be no less than 120 words and no more than 160 words. a. The student may write it himself/herself, or he/she may ask someone else to write it for him/her. (preferably the latter, by: block mate, orate, sis, brod or any person from law school) b. It should be tasteful , i.e., it should not contain any inappropriate or offensive language. Although you can be as witty and as funny as you want to be just know the difference between being funny and being offensive. (remember that this yearbook will be with you for a long time) c. It may be in English or Filipino however, please, no taglish. Foreign languages and local dialects may be used if limited to brief, popular phrases and should be italicized. d. Place a 20 word quote for your description. (optional) e. Proper footnoting should be followed. (if you use a quote in the body of your writeup please cite your source so that you have a footnote in your write-up) 2. Students should follow these specifications for the soft copy of the write-up: a. Font: Times New Roman b. Font Size: 11 c. Spacing: 1.5 d. .doc file 3. 4. Each student should submit a soft copy of her write-up to the Block Beadle on or before August 28 (Tuesday). This is to allow the beadle time to compile all the write-ups. 5. Late write- ups will not be accepted. If you do not have a write-up, the Forum may place generic text on your page or leave it blank. 6. The block beadle should email all the write-ups, in one doc file, to matthewhabacon@yahoo.com on or before September 1, 2012.
