INTERNSHIP AGREEMENT
General considerations
This internship is a compulsory part of the BTS ACSE . This BTS is a Higher National Diploma in agriculture
and management and is a 2 years course. It is an undergraduate course which leads to a one year Bachelor after
obtaining the diploma.
The purpose of this agreement is to set up for the benefit of the designated student a training period either
possible or made obligatory by the official programme of his/her education or study. This training period shall
correspond to an application or an introduction or a training period in the work environment related to the
teaching dispensed in the vocational training institution.
It shall be monitored and supervised by a company or organisation tutor appointed for this purpose by the head
of the host organisation if he is not himself the organisation tutor. The student shall participate in the tasks
specified below (purpose of the training period), which is a part of this agreeement. In no case, may his/her
participation to these activites be detrimental to the employement situation in the host company or organisation.
The trainee shall be bound to respect professional secrecy.

Students duties
Article1 : The student is obliged to carry out the task set by the manager of the firm or organisation.
He must also behave in a responsible manner. The student must thus stick to the rules and regulations of the
firm and more particularly to the work schedule and the protection of health regulations. The trainee commits
him/herself to respect the instructions and carry out all tasks to the best of his/her ability, as directed by the
people in charge of the training and to abide by the different internal regulations of the receiving
country/employer.
Trainers duties
Article 2 : The manager must:

give the student tasks related to his capabilities taking into account the aims of the placement
make sure that the student is able to use the cars or machines which he may be asked to use
guide the student and supervise his work
give the student information and the documents which are necessary for him to make his/her work or allow
him to go and look for these documents.
give a short assessment of the work done by the student (fax/e-mail/phone)
Purpose
1re week: global approach of the production of tea (agronomy, botany, difficulties of production,
presentation of the industry, water issues linked to tea production).
2nd week: discovery of the plants of tea of the campus and the close neighborhood
3rd week: visit of companies and works at various producers (visit in particular of the factory HANQUA
(black tea), of the factory MATIGARA (Green tea) and of the very renowned plantation of MAKAIBARI,
the very big organci plantation and visits in the Darjeeling ( biodiversity) .
Powerpoint on a theme given by the team of the university (in connection with the specialization of the
students)
. A global video made by the group of students highlighting the work and focusing on a specific subject
linked to their course. This video will be posted on the MOVEAGRI website

Financial aspects
Article 5 : As agreed between the two parts, there will be no financial help for this internship. The student
will pay for transport from Delhi to the host organisation.
Accomodation (food and lodging) and local transport for work purposes will be provided by University of North
Bengal - Tea Science department. The cost of training fees, accomodation and local transport for work purposes
will not exceed 380 euros as agreed between the two parts.
