Under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO New Delhi Office and the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist of the Education Sector (ED) the !esearch "ssociate shall# $% &n colla'oration with the Education and the Communication sectors Participate in organi(ing content creation and follow up recommendations of regional wor)shops in *arnata)a and !a+asthan and an international wor)shop in *erala on ,OSS in Education% "ssist with e-panding the interventions in support of ,OSS in education to other &ndian states and countries in the cluster% .% Contri'ute to the production of a report highlighting suggested policy and guidelines for ,OSS in education as an output of the South "sian conferences /% "ssist with some statistics related tas)s for &ndia namely research activities data collection and comparative analysis in colla'oration with partners0 1% &ncrease visi'ility of the wor) of the Education Sector through preparing 'riefs factsheets newsletters and updating of we'site content0 2% "ssist the Education Unit with the dissemination and promotion of research findings and pu'lications particularly through we' 'ased media0 3% Provide editing analysis and support to UNESCO4s Solution E-change on education and &C5 topics and issues0 6% "ssist in a series of seminars and the development of a volume of papers aimed at deepening the de'ate and understanding of )ey issues in teacher development and management0 7% "ssist in conducting a study aimed at e-ploring and empirically identifying the essential 8uality elements for ECCE programme in the &ndian conte-t across pu'lic and private sectors 9% Provide data recent reports and pu'lications to UNESCO National Commissions mem'ers in &ndia :hutan Sri ;an)a and <aldives on education related topics and issues as needed0 $=% "ssist in preparing periodic reports and documents on pro+ect activities0 $$% Contri'ute to the mo'ili(ation of e-tra>'udgetary funding for new programmes and pro+ects in line with the priorities of the Education Sector0 $.% Perform other duties contri'uting to the fulfillment of the wor) plan of the Education Unit at the re8uest of the Director of the Office or the Programme Specialist% Qualifications "dvanced University degree (<aster or e8uivalent) in social or human sciences0 :road )nowledge of the &C5 sector and its role in development would 'e an asset0 Experience . to 1 years of wor)ing e-perience prefera'ly com'ining e-perience in professional and research environments% "'ility to collect synthesi(e and analy(e information from various sources%
