Introduction
Our planet “Earth” is an amazing place. It is able to support life; rarely
any planet can do that. Earth Science is one of many sciences that help
people learn and explain earth in many different ways. Earth science
talks us replay the events that happen in earth long ago. People who
study geology is called geologist .They explain earth’s physical
structure. The physical structure of earth is very important to know, so
we can understand more about our earth when we learn about earth
science we talk about and earth’s crust. The subs topics earth science
talks about are. Geology, Astronomy and Meteorology, they are very
important sciences too.
Geology is the science of which deals with the history of earth, recorded
in rocks and minerals found in earth’s crust. It helps people find things
which are dangerous like landslides earthquakes, floods and volcanic
eruptions. They warn us about the hideous and dangerous catastrophes
the earth brings us. When you see the stars, the sky at night it’s so
illuminating and you wonder about astronomy. Astronomy is an
amazing science because it talks about what’s beyond earth, we all
wonder what is out there and astronomy explain to us. It covers the
celestial bodies and the universe as a whole.
The other sub topic of Earth Science is everywhere in the news and
newspapers it’s related to the weather. It is meteorology the studies of
the atmosphere and the changes in weather. I think it is very important
for people to know and learn about meteorology because it warns us and
helps us every day to choose what to wear when the temperature
changes and tells us when it rains.
Geology!
I have always wondered the history of earth, how things happen and
how many years has it been here, the rocks the ocean and the plants.
When I heard about geology I really wanted to learn more, it amazes
me how many varies of rocks there are in miles of miles of rock in
the earth’s crust. I read books in the library about rocks and about
the layers of earth’s crust, in my opinion I feel like geology
completes my curiosity of wanting to know more about earth.
Geology is like a biography of earth. It shows us how the world has
changed. Geology itself has been around for a very long time since
the ancient world. It is known that it started in Greece in the time of
Aristotle. Geologist make maps out of their information they get
when they go on expeditions or on natural things that already
happened like if in California there is an earth quake , probably
there will be another one since it already happened once. Geology
makes maps and it helps us navigate through the landforms and it
helps us tell where things can occur like in this map. Geology is
very helpful to us humans, and it is very important to know.
Astronomy

When it’s a clear night and I can see the bright moon shining I always
imagined how is it out there and how amazing are they; the people who
study the stars and the planets. How much information they know, and
their willing to share with us. Astronomy has always made my curiosity
go wild. I love the stars and the idea that we aren’t alone in this big
universe. It’s so amazing how big it is and that it never ends. The idea of
life amazes me and makes me want to live forever, to the future when
we might find other living organism to compare ourselves too.
Astronomy is the study of the universe as a whole. It is one of the oldest
sciences; people from thousand of ages ago studied it used methodical
observations. Since men saw earth and decided to study its patters of
starts and counted all the brightest and the smallest astronomy has been
around. Celestial bodies are the galaxies and the stars one of the most
common. Planets and the universe, it will never end to find out how
many stars we have. It is so big it will take millions of years. Astronomy
is a very important science, it warns about meteors which might hit earth
or black holes. It is important to know what it’s outside earth too. It’s
like studying the surroundings of the house, it is very important.
Astronomy is a very active science every year things change, in the night
sky. Astronomers see the changes and record them and in events and
times they might discover a new star or a new planet. Astronomy is one
of the oldest sciences and it will always continue to grow, more & more.
Meteorology
Before going outside we always go on the internet or go and turn on the
channel to see the weather, don’t we? . It is always important to know
the weather so you can choose carefully what you’re going to wear that
day. Checking the weather is an essential part of your life. What you
don’t recognize is the changes in the earth’s atmosphere, which cause
the weather changes. This science is called meteorology. The study of
the earth’s atmosphere changes and it’s associated with weather which is
climatology. Meteorology was invented by Aristotle, he in 350BC wrote
the word meteorology. Nobody takes in notice how important it really
is, if you see now it warns us about hurricanes, tornados, and many other
catastrphes that occur and specific places. It saves millions of millions of
lives; the people who study meteorology are very important and are
making big achievements in this science. When the scientists check for
the weather they use instruments like a thermometer and an anemometer
to check the winds direction. They might also use radars for hurricanes
they see how fast and how big it is approaching. Or they can detect fog.
You need to know the weather in most cases, it is important to dress
yourselves properly. It is also important to be kept informed on the
weather and the chances of their being a tornado, hurricane, lighting
storm and especially if it’s going to rain, you might want to be sure to
take an umbrella. It helps our daily lives safer and easier, I think the
weatherman should be awarded, but more the sciencetists behind the
screen.
CONCLUSION!

When you really think about it, our daily life is filled with sciences. When we
feel the rocks and the tress, when we notice the patterns and realized how
long you had seen that tree. We are studying the geology features of earth,
the history, and the events scarred on earth. Geology will always be
important in every day of our lives, to all of it and forever. I always look at
the night sky, count the stars till you fall asleep wake up see the brightest
light; the sun. Such beautiful and alive things outside, surrounding our planet.
Astronomy is a very important science, it helps us understand this big
universe of ours and the things in it, the beautiful shapes the galaxies make,
and it gives us hope to know one day we will meet other creatures that we
can compare ourselves too. Meteorology amazes me, how we can know
things before it happens. Like when the weatherman says it’s going to rain
for the next 3 days. We can believe because most of the time is accurate.
Meteorology is very important in our daily lives, and it saves lives, and it will
never disappear from the book of sciences.
We take for granted all of the amazing accomplishment sciencetists have
done, and discovered. We have to see that every day we ourselves are
sciencetist, and without geology, astronomy and meteorology we would be
lost every day. We wouldn’t understand why the rocks are shaped funny or
how some stars grow brighter one day then they disappear. We wouldn’t be
able to understand the patterns of rain, or warn people about catastrophes
before it’s too late. They are amazing discoveries which I want to know more
and more about. Because knowledge could never be a bad thing. There are so
many things out here in earth you could, just like our never ending universe;
our never ending sciences will continue to grow.

1. An Eclipse occurs when the moon's shadow hits Earth or Earth's

shadow hits the moon.

2. The damage taken on earth by weathering is called Erosion.

3. The study of earth’s rocks structure is Geology.

Short answer questions

Number 1
The only safe place in a thunderstorm is in a sturdy building. A
vehicle (unless it’s a convertible) is a good shelter if you keep the
windows rolled up. You should take shelter when you see a
lightning bolt or hear thunder. Five seconds between seeing
lightning and hearing thunder means that the lightning is about a
mile away—way too close for safety

Number 2

The Earth travels around the sun one full time per year. During
this year, the seasons change depending on the amount of
sunlight reaching the surface and the Earth's tilt as it revolves
around the sun. Summer occurs when a hemisphere is tilted
towards when it is summer in the northern hemisphere; it is
winter in the southern hemisphere. At the equator, there are no
seasons because the sun is always striking and the temperatures
remain high there. In general, the summer and winter
temperatures get lower the further away from the equator.
The sun and winter occurs when a hemisphere is tilted away from
the sun.
