Description The LMT is connected to the NodeB through the Ethernet port on the WMPT, as the LMT1 and LMT2 . Huawei NodeB default local maintenance IP address: 17.21.2.15 The LMT is connected to the NodeB through the M2000 Server and the IP over ATM (IPoA) channel between the NodeB and the RNC, as the LMT5 and LMT6 LMT1 to maintence the NodeB2

> The NodeB LMT is mainly used for NodeB commissioning, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting
LMT provides the following functions:
> GUI > MML commands > Alarm management, equipment management, cell management, software management, file management, message tracing, and real-time monitoring

Alarm Management
Alarm types:
Fault Alarm The alarms generated in case of hardware equipment faults or major function failures. After the fault has been removed ,the system will report a cleared alarm. One clear alarm corresponds to one fault alarm. Event Alarm The accidental alarms indicating that the system is in alarm state for a while. There is no cleared alarm for event alarms.
Classified by network management
Page 13
Alarm Management
Alarm severity
> Critical Alarm The critical Alarm has an impact on the service provided by the system. It requires timely handling > Major Alarm The major alarm affect QoS. It requires immediate handling. > Minor Alarm The minor alarm does not affect QoS. It requires handling at a proper time against potential faults. > Warning Alarm The warning shows a potential error that may affect service. It may require handling in some cases.

neighboring cell and then close the Tx channels of the cell, the cell resources are not available after this operation. Unblocking cell: UBL LOCELL NodeB will open the Tx channels and restore the administration status of the cell. The cell is in service. Note: In this way, you can maintain faulty NodeB without interrupting service
Auditing resource: ADT RES
Use this command to request RNC for audit on the logical resources between RNC and NodeB.

Software BootROM software Description The BootROM software refers to the software bound with hardware. It provides basic device drive function and can be started and updated manually. The BootBOM software is a re-writable storage medium, which is used to store binary data, that is, the machine codes. All the boards on the NodeB have such BootROM software. The file name of the BootROM software is Firmware.csp. NodeB software For macro NodeBs, the main board has NodeB software version for the master CPU and slave CPU. The file name of the NodeB software is Software.csp. Cold patch software The NodeB cold patch can upgrade a specific board or module to improve functions or to fix some problems. The file name of the cold patch is NBPatch.pck. Hot patch software The NodeB hot patch is also named online patch, which can upgrade the NodeB without interrupting its operation. The hot patch is used to improve NodeB functions or to fix some problems. The file name of the hot patch is NBHPatch.pck.
