Job purpose To undertake and project manage a range of organisational development projects in support of the People Strategy delivery. To take the lead role in the organisation, co-ordination and supervision of projects that support the delivery of the University-wide staff experience/ engagement programme. To contribute to the strategic planning of University-wide change programmes. To provide expert advice to support faculty and department organisational development projects. To deputise for the Head of Organisational Development and to implement relevant programmes of change and procedures as defined by line management.

Roles & Responsibilities 1. Contribute to the People Strategy through the provision of specialist organisational development advice; people change, staff engagement and development and training. 2. Projects manage a range of diverse organisational development projects in parallel, working with internal and external partners/providers. 3. Manage the development, delivery and interpretation of the staff survey to support the Staff Experience strategic objective. 4. Design, implement and evaluate organisational development interventions to support the delivery of the People Strategy 5. Provide advice and guidance to HR Client Partners to support the diagnosis, delivery and evaluation of faculty and department organisational development projects 6. Produce draft papers for Committees and Operations Board, as required by the Head of Organisational Development. 7. Manage the relevant procurement processes and the supplier interface for change and development projects in accordance with Financial Regulations where it has been agreed an external supplier is needed. 8. Influence, provide direction and build working relationships to ensure resources are available to deliver a range of University-wide projects. 9. Develop and manage communication plans to increase knowledge and awareness of the varied organisational development projects throughout the University.

10. Play a key role in HR led projects and undertake project work, as directed by the Head of Organisational Development, organize appropriate working groups to enable the delivery of new initiatives

Person Specification Knowledge & Qualifications 1. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience 2. CIPD professional qualification at Member level or above 3. Knowledge of HE environment 4. Experience of delivering learning and development for a large organisation. 5. Evidence of continued development and enthusiasm to progress. Skills & Competencies 1. Proven ability to analyse, design and deliver development projects, using a wide range of tools and techniques 2. Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills, written and verbal, working with staff at all levels. 3. Demonstrate a high level of strategic awareness 4. Proven ability to deliver a range of complex projects to meet deadlines 5. Awareness of project management methodology 6. Ability to interpret data and provide analysis to support diagnostic and evaluation activities 7. Ability to manage projects budgets 8. Knowledge of underpinning theories to support organisational development: change, staff engagement, leadership and adult learning 9. Strong negotiating skills to ensure external consultancy resources are provided cost effectively and within budget 10.
