Heat pump requires 900mm service clearance at each end.

2. Clearances

Mark out position of all pipes on wall. Mark out position of storage tanks on floor.

3. Mark out position of pipes and tanks

Solder all joints as required.

4. Connect pipes

Secure all pipes to wall with pipe clamps as required.

5. Connect cold water inlet train

No Return Valve

Drain line must terminate at least 1 metre away from tank. (AS/NZS 3500.4)

Place storage tanks in position.

6. Position storage tanks

Connect reducer fittings. Repeat for all inlets/outlets on each storage tank.

8. Fit branch assemblies

Check position of tanks inlets/outlets must be parallel to wall. Fit the branch assembly to manifold and storage tank. Solder connections as required.

NB: Gate valve or ball valve ONLY to be used in branches DO NOT install non-return valves or loose jumper valves

Repeat fitting of branch assemblies to all required inlets/outlets.

8. Fit branch assemblies

Connect TPR valves to each tank.

9. Connect TPR valves

Fit drain lines to each TPR valve. TPR Valves can drain into a common tundish. Terminate drain lines at least 1 metre away from tanks.

Drain line must terminate at least 1 metre away from tank. (AS/NZS 3500.4)

11. Connect cold water inlet pipe

Connect primary flow to heat pump. Note: non return valve is not required after primary pump.

Connect to Heat Pump inlet

Connect the primary hot water return line.

12. Connect hot water return line

Connect to outlet

Connect the drain line to the pressure relief valve.

Drain line must terminate at least 1 metre away from Heat Pump and Tank(s). (AS/NZS 3500.4)

Remove the front cover panel.

13. Connect main power

Insert 3 Phase power cable.

Conduit Gland

Connect the 3 Phase power cable. Secure wires with screws provided in the Terminal Block. Observe correct phase rotation. Tighten firmly.

Secure the conduit to heat pump using brackets. Tighten screws firmly.

Do not obstruct cover panel opening.

Connect primary circulation pump wiring to heat pump.

Connect primary pump wiring to heat pump.

Secure the conduit to heat pump using brackets or cable ties. Run conduit to primary pump.

Remove pump cover screw.

Remove pump cover.

Connect wiring to primary pump using push-fit connectors on the terminal block.

Push retaining lug down and insert wire

Replace pump cover and screw. If outdoors affix a suitable weather cover over the primary pump.

14. Connect wiring to primary pump

15. Fit tank sensor

Remove the protective cap from one of the tanks. Remove the threaded plug. Insert the sensor well into the tank and tighten firmly.

Replace Heat Pump cover panel.

16. Replace heat pump cover panel

Secure conduit. Do not obstruct control panel opening.

17. Commissioning

Refer to instructions for commissioning the unit.
